"For the last 5 years I've been a pedestrian in Adelaide. Owning a vehicle didn't make sense. I live and work in the CBD, parking is a nightmare, cyclists are always faffin about, the list goes on. Then one day things changed. I learned about some local auctions that consistently have amazing, very large goodies for sale. So, as you do, I bought nissan pathfinder on impulse. Now, in excellent condition an old Pathfinder can fetch about 5k. I got mine for 2250 with the condition that I covered repair costs. Chuffed, I paid the money, bought a new battery and whipped around the corner to Carrington Street Auto Repair. They're close. They seem friendly. I dropped off my new steed to see what the damage was. Damn near cried when they showed me the laundry list. Cracked steering mounts. Bad bushings. Needs new windshield wipers. Etc. It needed a nauseating amount of TLC. The lovely people in the shop talked me through the top priority repairs and we booked em in. Each repair was started and finished on the same day without any need to return to fix a mistake. All in all, I still ended up paying about 5k for my Pathfinder, but now it's in excellent condition AND I've got a local mechanic I can trust."
