"I have to agree with the comment below. It is evident money comes first with Dr Amin. He prescribed two medications for my son, both running out at different times (one during the Xmas holiday period/when school goes back too). When I called to rectify as my son was going to run out of one of them prior to his next appointment, there was no help what so ever, only practice policies stated that an an e-script or quick Telehealth appointment cannot occur regardless of circumstances. I had to take time off (casual) work to contact my GP who thankfully really cares for our families health - I’m so grateful it was the medication my GP could prescribe! This is pure negligence on Dr. Amin’s part given the type of medication and to put the responsibility back on me to rectify is disgraceful. I encourage anyone to find practitioners that generally care about their patients and not just when you’re sitting across from them paying $$$ to be there. I should also add, despite my son being tested over 2 whole days for one condition at a psychology clinic. When we arrived for our first appointment Dr Amin initially dismissed the diagnosis to say that only he can diagnose conditions (because he’s a psychiatrist) and that he thinks he potentially has something else, which of course costs a lot of money to find out (I declined as I know my son well & was happy with the diagnosis. Plus the financial outlay was going to be huge). This was all from seeing my son over a 20 minute period. During our second appointment he said my son showed more emotion during the first session - he actually did not. He was more comfortable the second session and therefore was more relaxed and himself. I didn’t really think too much of this until the above experience occurred, now I can see it’s all about $$$."

"Dr Amin is a very thorough and knowledgeable child psychiatrist. He doesn’t make any unnecessary and popular diagnosis that some people come up with about kids. You can rely on his clinical and professional opinion about mental health."
