"Today was not only first day but also my first “denied” training session. I sincerely regret signing up for this. Just when I thought I had found a little local gem and undoubtedly signed up for long term as I thought this experience would’ve been pleasant, I surely should’ve done a trial first because I have been completely disabused. I already yearn for my 02 months Direct debit period to end as this already feels like it will be a nightmare moving forward. The the rules around lateness are absolutely non sensical and appalling. God forbid you are late for literally 06 minutes for whatever reason/unforeseen circumstances and your entire session is not only forfeited but you will also be charged a lateness fee without any possibility to partake in the lesson. Let’s say it’s completely fair for them to charge for lateness/cancellation/no-show. However I found ridiculous for them to deny you access to training when you’re exactly 10 minutes late for an entire hour training session supposedly because pole is dangerous, warming up is 15 minutes and if you miss you those 10 minutes your safety is endangered … Basically the session, is already paid for and you show up within a complete reasonable time frame but you’re still charged a lateness fee PLUS denied access to the training session when the only inconvenience caused is probably students having more space and instructors having less students to train. Since it was my first session I was “gracefully saved” from having to pay a lateness fee by the kind receptionist. I actually do not care for the lateness fees. It is nothing compared to the amount of time and energy we customers feel are wasted. - I would’ve much rather payed for the lateness if it meant I could still train. Rightfully so. Also, no you do not care about my safety either and the fact I missed out on 05 minutes of the warm up and neither am I going to break my neck because I missed 05 minutes from the training session. Especially when they do not take into account the parking accommodation surrounding their own establishment which I pointed out to the receptionist and she agreed they were absolutely unpredictable and limited due to a bunch of reason (including church service, …) Well, there is also no mention of those in their policies when it is clear they can greatly impact your lateness thus your propensity to accessing training and being charged for lateness. For such strict, unyielding and unreasonable policies, an equally thorough approach, highlighting all the potential factors beyond customers control and catalysed by the establishment’s own predisposition is necessary. Hold yourselves to the same standards you set. After the 10 am session I had another class booked at 12pm; so basically ended up wandering for 2 hours because if I decide not to attend the other session because my plans have been completely ruined, then I’ll be charged a no show fee. This unfairness single handedly turned my experience this into a bitter and unbearable one."
"Polaris has such a warm, welcoming and supportive environment for everyone. I love the classes, after hours access, instructors and staff. Cannot recommend highly enough!"
"Studio is amazing, lots of space and awesome vibe. Havent used the 24hr access yet. People are incredible. Doing stretch with Danica is challenging and effective, Felix is an absolute body movement genius. The staff are friendly and hilarious to talk with. Top stuff."
"Polaris Studio is one of a kind, absolutely love it here and can't recommend it enough to anyone thinking of doing pole dance, flow dance and/or stretch & flexibility! All the staff are so welcoming, encouraging and supportive. It's a judgement free zone and you can tell they really care for their students. Everyone is just so lovely! I love that the classes aren't over-packed too, like some studios who try and cramp in as many students to 1 teacher as possible. Having smaller classes I find allows the teachers to have the chance to ensure everyone is getting the assistance and attention they need, which means the students can really develop their skills to their full potential and get the most out of their classes. Before starting up with Polaris I compared their cost and timetable against all the other studios in Perth and Polaris was stand-out above the rest - Definitely the best value for money and I love the flexibility of being able to switch between levels and classes as you require, and being able to pay for your membership as a direct debit on a week to week basis if you choose. There are heaps of different membership options to choose from which is great, including the option for 24hour access which no other studio offers! Plus being able to book and manage all your classes and memberships within the GymMaster app is super handy."
"Terrible customer service. My friends spent heaps on a voucher for my birthday, unfortunately I had to move away suddenly due to illness in the family and asked if my voucher could be extended past the 3 month point so that I could use it upon my return, or so one of my friends could use it, and they refused. Came across like they’d much prefer to take the money rather than ensure their customers have a great time and come back again and again. Not how I would operate a studio if I had one. Before this I was recommending them to everyone but now I will not. Rooms are tiny, and in summer you die sweating as the aircon is not good enough. Teachers are also wildly inconsistent, you do one class at a certain level with one teacher and then the same level with a different teacher and it’s way harder/easier, no consistent class schedule."
