About the Business
Welcome to Glendale Primary School, a prestigious establishment located in the picturesque suburb of Hamersley, just fifteen kilometers north of Perth city. Situated on Glendale Avenue, Unit 21, our school is a point of interest and a primary school that offers a top-notch education to students in the area.
Nestled in a serene environment surrounded by lush native gardens and shade trees, Glendale Primary School provides a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere for our students to thrive in. Our extensive grounds boast large grass trees, which are a significant feature, along with two grassed playing fields and ample play areas for our students to enjoy.
With a current enrollment of 314 students, our school primarily serves students from the Warwick and Hamersley areas. However, approximately 30 percent of our students come from other areas, attracted by our school's positive reputation for inclusivity, quality education programs, behavior management, and pastoral care.
At Glendale Primary School, we offer a range of specialist programs for our students. In 2021, these programs include physical education, digital technologies, art, engineering/science, and music. We are also introducing a STEM approach with a focus on the junior area to inspire higher-order thinking and problem-solving skills. Our uninterrupted literacy and numeracy blocks, which follow the WA curriculum, ensure quality teaching from pre-primary to year 6.
Pastoral care is a core focus in our school community. We place a strong emphasis on values throughout our curriculum and conduct various successful programs to support this emphasis. Our goal is to provide our students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes they need to contribute successfully to a rapidly changing society.
At Glendale Primary School, we believe in fostering a strong partnership between parents and teachers. Our "open door" communication policy ensures excellent parent-teacher support, allowing for effective collaboration in a child's education. Our active Parent and Citizens (P&C) association organizes numerous special events, further strengthening the bond between school and community. Additionally, parents have a strong representation on the School Board, actively participating in whole school review and planning processes.
With a rich sense of tradition, Glendale Primary School has established processes for pastoral care and a highly supportive and involved parent community. We hold high expectations for student achievement and behavior, which are recognized and celebrated through a range of initiatives.
Join us at Glendale Primary School, where we provide a nurturing and inclusive environment, top-quality education programs, and a strong sense of community. Enroll your child today and give them the opportunity to thrive and succeed in their educational journey.

"Mrs fibig is horrible. I want mr noball back he was nice and funny. The schools alright but since mrs fibig came it’s gone downhill a lot and there’s no free dress or discos anymore. Really sad but the canteen food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Don’t get me started on the cheesies and chicken, so good and the lasagna is holy. Mr johnson is kinda mean and called me a crybaby once, still said about that but whatever. I miss the old days of our school it was much better and nicer. The new principle spends all the money on useless things and not much fun stuff happens, sorry Glendale but your kinda cheap now."
"I went here for primary school. I used to love playing in the two cubby houses in year 1 and 2 and the fake boat and the music thingies. I used to love the climbing stuff around the back of the school and playing dodgeball. I used to be great at dodging every friday and most of my teachers were nice except for one. Mr Johnson was kinda harsh to me as a kid telling me i was "crying for attention" after my I had been yelled at before school and he always punished me for small things. I mean who says that to a child?? Mr Fairclough is THE best teacher. He is so nice and probably the best teacher there from my childhood apart from Mrs Smith but I dont think she works there anymore. I LOVED the school discos theyd have every so often and have got so many memories of this place. Also the cantine was BUSSIN I remember SPRINTING to the cantine every morning to get their strawberry milks and cookies they'd serve. The library was chill too used to love their ghost books. Movie nights in the old library too. One of the best schools someone could send their child honestly. So many good memories."
"I have 2 children schooled here for many years. Was a great school and experience for them"
