Dr Ray Yoong was born in Malaysia and completed his high school and early university education there. He then moved to New Zealand to pursue his medical studies and worked there for several years. In 2006, Dr Yoong and his family relocated to Adelaide, South Australia, where he began his specialist Obstetric and Gynaecology training. This training involved rotations in various hospitals across both urban and regional areas of South Australia.

That's why we strive for successful pregnancies and term deliveries, as they provide the best opportunity for a child to enjoy normal health and development. To visit our practice, you will need a referral letter from your General Practitioner. New obstetric consultations typically last up to 40 minutes, and if you are pregnant, we highly recommend booking with us as soon as possible to secure your place at Ashford Private Hospital. Our staff will discuss the schedule of fees with you and guide you through the process of registering with the Medicare Safety Net. Additionally, we may seek your consent to proceed with your booking and process Medicare rebates at the time of payment. Self-funding patients are also welcome.
