"Called to book for a vehicle service for today several weeks ago over the phone. When arrived at the centre, waited directly in front of three front desk staff for a good half a minute until their leisure chat to finish before serving me. Completely ignored. when attended, the staff then told me that there wasn't an appointment booked and making it sound like my mistake. Wasting my time."
"It was a decent experience here. I had a meeting with Ralph and he made the experience smooth for our car purchase. Manny the finance guy was annoyed that we paid for the car in full and didn't buy any random warranties. The car I bought was extremely dirty so I had to spend a couple of days completely cleaning it. Update 02/08/2023: Extremely poor after sales support. The '100 point' checkup on the car was not performed adequately and the car has major faults (recommended to perform a third party inspection). No ownership of issues after the sale. Ralph who sold us the car has stopped picking up the phone (he probably asked my number block my contact) or replying to emails. The sales manager was supposed to call me back but never did. Tony from service never calls back, instead we have to constantly check up on what's going on. There seems to be no appropriate QC at the place. I found the root cause of the problem, instructed the service team how to fix the issue but they still could not fix it. Still no resolution and the defective car is now stuck at Hyundai Melville Service. The whole ordeal has been dragged on for a long time already. No replacement vehicle provided either. Will update this review as the process continues. Update - 03/08/023: They didn't reply to any comms - emails or phone. I had to visit them again for the fourth or fifth time (an hour long travel). Had a chat with sales manager - Joe. Joe was unaware of anything happening. Ralph masking information? Joe running away from his duties? I am not sure. He redirected me to the service manager (Jack) because he doesn't care about the cars he sells after they are sold. Jack had no clue about the car - again not sure what his job is. He wishes to rebuild the trust which never existed. He also said that they 'might' have never performed the 100 point test - another lie? Waiting for him to contact me back. Extremely distressing to deal with these people. Tomorrow, it will be a week of car being with them. Update - 04/08/2023: Jack from the service team acknowledged the problem exists and has agreed to fix it. The procedure to fix is the same as I described to them earlier. The car is in the workshop for 6 weeks. I received a loan car while my car is being fixed. Will update this review as the process continues."
"Not a good experience - a few months ago I had them have a look at a warranty defect, to which they said "it will probably fix itself, give it a couple of months". So I gave it a couple of months and it didn't fix itself, so I bought it in again and was basically told exactly the same thing. This time I responded with "well okay if you're sure it will fix itself in a couple of months then how about put that in the job notes that you will commit to fixing it under warranty if it doesn't fix itself". He very quickly backed away from that position and was like "oh I'll have to double-check with my technician", then the end result was that what got written in the job notes was "we'll have a look at it in another year". Hyundai's warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on, at least not at this service centre. UPDATE: I have since spoken to Hyundai again and now got a guarantee that they will commit to fixing the issue if it doesn't resolve itself after a certain timeframe. So am thankful that they at least seem committed to customer satisfaction."
"Very poor service and sloppy mechanics. Will upsell, damage your vehicle and expect you to pay for repairs. Better off supporting a small time mechanic that will look after your car and not rip you off. Apparently taping up a broken globe casing with electrical tape is acceptable by the Melville service centre. Never again."
