"I contacted these people in regard to a call out. $168 plus $33 for every quarter hour just to find the problem. The alternate was to take it in. They wanted $99 just for to me deliver it to them gouge me $33 every quarter hour. A rip off overcharging business that is exploiting people."

"My dryer was on a recall for a fire hazard, so I was booked in with this mob to repair the problem. After waiting weeks for the replacement part, service bloke shows up, and replaces the back on my dryer. He then proceeded to interrogate me regarding what the problem was with the dryer, and I said to him that it was on a recall, no problem with the dryer itself, just a safety issue, which they had to fix for no charge to me. He then told me that my 6 year old dryer was stuffed, the bearings were gone etc and that he would have to take it back to the workshop because it was a huge job to fix. He had made an awful mess on my laundry floor which he did not clean up. I told him to remove the unit from my property and leave. He was rude, argumentative and I think he was just after money to fix the dryer which was not broken. I am yet to hear back from Newman's, I don't think I will somehow."

"This business is appalling. I waited three weeks for a scheduled booking for a technician to attend to my dishwasher and because I did not pick up the telephone when the manager called the day before at 6pm NSW (5pm Qld time), he cancelled my appointment. I did try to return the call immediately however the call went straight to message bank. The same thing happened the next morning. When I did speak with him on the morning of the appointment he refused to reinstate the appointment I had waited three weeks for and threatened to send the part back to Asko. I then had to drive to his office 50km from my home to retrieve the part I had already paid for. I have never come across such an unreasonable business proprietor in all my life. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND GIVE THIS BUSINESS A MISS."

"I Had my split aircon/heater fixed. Very rude technician, kept arguing with me and first time I encountered this asian guy like this attitude, very annoying. Treated me like an ignorant. Giving me lecture on cleaning aircon and i said i have 4 aircons in this house and never had any problem. Showing me the parts that is broken as if telling a 5 yr old child. I even heard him say “ if this break again” i will not come here. Pwe… you made me throw up. I ask him what includes in the warranty. If i did not complain Harvey Norman’s supervisor and he called Newman’s repair on my behalf yesterday, they would not have come today. Rude Rude Rude Rude and no good, makes my blood boil. Grow up guy and change you attitude in dealing with customer. You are only a worker at Newman and not the owner."

"We called the office on Monday 8am and at 10 am Greg was at our doorstep. He knew exactly what he was doing. Fully informed us about price and what he would be doing. Said he would be back in The morning at 7am with the new part, which he was and at 7.30 all was fixed. Not only is Greg a nice person, he is knowledgeable, professional and reliable. We would certainly recommend Newman’s Appliance Repairs. Thank you for fixing our fridge."
