About the Business
Welcome to Fiona Rogerson - Perinatal and Trauma Counselling, located in Success, Western Australia. I am Fiona, a qualified counsellor, childbirth educator, and certified birth and postnatal doula. As a mother myself, I understand the challenges and emotions that come with the journey into parenthood.
Throughout my own experiences, I have faced heartbreak, infertility, breastfeeding struggles, and postnatal depression. These experiences have shaped who I am today and have fueled my passion to support and serve women in their own journeys.
At times, it can feel like no one truly understands what you're going through, especially those closest to you. You may not want to be judged, so you keep your feelings to yourself. However, dealing with these emotions alone can be exhausting and overwhelming. You deserve to have someone listen and help you find a way forward.
Underneath the mask you wear, you may feel overwhelmed, anxious, numb, angry, sad, or broken. You may not fully understand why you feel this way, but you know that something isn't right, and you want to feel different. I understand, and I am here to help you.
Through counselling, I provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore your experiences, gain insight into the factors influencing your situation, develop coping strategies, and work towards healing. Whether you're dealing with perinatal issues or trauma from past events, I have the knowledge and tools to guide you towards a brighter future.
Traumatic experiences can have a lasting impact, even years later. You may find yourself being transported back to those moments, overwhelmed by anxiety, fear, or sadness. Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy can help your brain process these memories and allow for healing to take place. By resolving the fight, flight, or freeze response associated with the trauma, you can move forward and leave the past behind.
For mothers and fathers, birth debriefing offers a confidential space to openly discuss your birth experience. These sessions allow you to share your story with someone trained to support you, ensuring that your experience is heard and acknowledged. Together, we will make sense of the events, identify and process emotions, find answers to your questions, and develop tools for healing.
To support those who have experienced birth trauma, I offer a free guide on coping strategies for managing triggers. By entering your email, you will receive this guide and become part of our online community of like-minded women. In addition, you will receive valuable information, tips, and strategies to support you on your journey.

"I honestly cannot thank Fiona enough for all of the support she provided me during my pregnancy. I looked forward to our weekly hypnobirthing classes with great anticipation and was surprised at how much birth trauma I was able to release simply from attending those sessions. She has a natural calming demeanour, and always makes me feel safe and heard. I had the most amazingly healing VBAC, and I have to credit a lot of that confidence and empowerment to Fiona!"
"I have just completed my 5 week hypnobirthing classes with Fiona, and cannot recommend her highly enough. She was knowledgeable, balanced and honest about birth and beyond. Having quite severe anxiety, I have felt so much calmer as I approach my baby's arrival - and this is all due to Fiona's guidance. Thank you, Fiona!"
"We undertook the Hypnobirthing course earlier this year and found Fiona to be warm, welcoming and very informative. Our birth was better than we could have ever anticipated, and we attribute how calm and relaxed our little one is now to how calm and loving his entry into this world was. We had no nerves about the birth, which was a great relief given how anxious we were before we started the classes. Highly recommend new parents attend Fiona's course and go into birthing empowered and relaxed. Thank you, Fiona!"
"I attended Fiona's hypnobirthing course, and found it truly invaluable. The course shifted my perspective of birth, and enabled me to learn that a gentle, positive birth is not only possible, but completely natural. The course was provided in a relaxed and comfortable environment, and Fiona was very knowledgable in all aspects, as well as caring, thoughtful and encouraging. I am looking forward to the birth of my second baby, as I now know what is possible. I highly recommend Fiona's course."
