The name "Three Waters" was inspired by the three beautiful lakes in Perth's southern suburbs - Bibra Lake, North Lake, and South Lake. It also represents the three psychological areas of practice that were the original focus of our clinic. We are proud to be rooted in the natural beauty of our surroundings.

"Ours is a complex family case which involves Parental Alienation (reported by a previous Court Ordered psychologist). On a number of occasions, Ms. Rochester had made comments that I understood to mean that she does not agree with the term “Parental Alienation” and that she does not believe it is a thing (even though we already had a Court Ordered report from a previous psychologist that refers to Parental Alienation). I am only paraphrasing. But at the same time she claims to be well versed on Parental Alienation. Whatever the case, she was very good at getting the Alienating parent to improve with co-parenting. As is sometimes the case, we did not feel she was the right fit for us as the Alienated party, but the Alienating parent responded well to her (having totally refused to return to the previous Family Therapist). As the Alienated party, we did not feel validated or understood as her views on Parental Alienation made us feel like our pain and suffering and the hell we had gone through was being diminished. In the end, it was just too complex of a case and Ms. Rochester decided it was not going to work with Family Therapy. We definitely felt like she had picked a side, so to speak, and that it wasn’t our side. Which we were fine with as long as it meant that the Alienating parent was improving on her co-parenting. Although it would’ve been better to feel like she was on both our sides, notwithstanding the fact that the kids are priority, of course. It did sometimes feel like she was enabling the Alienator and made excuses for her Alienating behaviours. Ms. Rochester had also said on a number of occasions that she “does not need our business” and that she had considered dropping us due to the complexity of our case. She did in the end as we had decided to go back to Court and she was of the opinion that Therapy and Court don’t go together. There has not been any improvement though with one child (high-functioning autistic) who was attending Court Ordered visits at the start of Family Therapy with Ms. Rochester but now doesn’t attend visits at all. Co-parenting has improved but the Alienating behaviours and Parental Alienation Syndrome in the children is still very much present. Sounds like an oxymoron, but like I said, it’s a complex case. Family Therapy with Ms. Rochester did help make co-parenting easier. I am confident that there would have been continued improvement with future co-parenting if Ms. Rochester would have continued with our case but as far as reversing the effects of existing Parental Alienation Syndrome behaviours in the kids, I am doubtful that continued visits would have made a difference. Although now we will never know. I would return after court is over and if she would be interested, if just to see if it would even be possible to reverse the effects of Parental Alienation in the kids as most of visits had previously been focused on the parents and co-parenting. This is my view as the Stepmum of the kids involved."
