Reviews
"Slippery when wet! Closes at 4! Get a key to the wetlands from Watershed for a fully refundable deposit. There is a well maintained path around the interconnected lakes with small bridges and some boardwalk to give a view. The waterfront is well established with paperbark, reed and cattail; the area around the bird hide looks great. Unfortunately the higher ground between the lakes is overrun by soursob and weedy grasses."
"Well maintained (which is why $20 refundable payment required to enter from cafe), self guided walk, winding wooden bridges. Bird viewing Hut is large enough with details about water birds. Planes flying over and noise of main roads nearby. Main lake area better viewed from Cafe & along pathway parallel to Salisbury Highway."
"Three stars because always room for improvement. More paths and trails making walks longer would be nice. The biggest fault is the key system to get into the trail, you need to go into a packed cafe to get an entry key in which you need to leave a $20 or driver's licence to get one. This information is not available on sites as far as I came across before going out there. To bad if you only going out for a walk like me and had nothing to give to get a key. I think this system needs to change, I felt uncomfortable going into the cafe dressed in my walking gear and it's not conveniently located in regards to the trail gate."
"Well maintained path. Educational and a world leader in the concept of waste water recycling. Well done Salisbury Council. Just a little too noisy from major roads so not exactly peaceful."
"Beautiful little place to explore! Definitely worth visiting, you can read and learn about all the different plants used in the wetlands, they do close at 4pm though."
