Reviews
"This place is amazing, so much to see. The tracks are great and physical. Views are absolutely spectacular"
"With a toddler in tow, I knew the steep trails wouldn't be an option but there's an option to still visit the Amber's Gully Ruins as it is only a short walk from the carpark on Gorge Road in Athelstone. Pretty spot to see and loved learning about the history of the area on nearby linear track."
"Driving past, I misread the Orchard track sign as Orchid.. It become obvious when we stopped and walked the Orchard track and Eagle track loop. It is quite steep at places but rewarding with stunning views. The orchids were near the top of the hill and there are echidnas near the eastern margin of the park."
"Black Hill Conservation Park is an excellent place to go hiking with lots of tracks from the beginner through to the more experienced who like a challenge of a steep climb. With a beautiful setting of typical Australian hills bush land and wildlife to enjoy and capture if you enjoy taking photos!!"
"Amazing trails with great views and beautiful wildlife. Saw a koala and mobs of kangaroos! There are opportunities to volunteer with Friends of Blackhill to help remove the olive trees from infiltrating the ecosystem of native bush plants and trees in the area. The birds and other animals are reliant on the native trees for their habitat."
