Welcome to FORM Café, located at 4 Shenton Road in Claremont, Australia. Formerly known as The Goods Shed, FORM Café continues to embody the culture, creativity, community, and delicious coffee that has made it a beloved destination. As a non-profit gallery and café, we are dedicated to promoting creativity and showcasing the talented regional artists of Western Australia to a metropolitan audience.

At FORM Café, we curate and present exhibitions and programs that inspire and foster creativity. We are proud to sell exhibition artworks, with the majority of the proceeds going back to the artists. The remaining funds are directly invested into our mission of developing a vibrant creative economy for the benefit and wellbeing of Western Australian communities.

In 2015, we were entrusted by the State Government to transform The Goods Shed into an exhibition and creative project space, along with a café. Located next to Claremont Station, this treasured cultural landmark has been renamed FORM Gallery & Café to reflect its role in serving the community for the past six years. Since opening in 2016, this heritage railway building has welcomed thousands of people who connect locally and globally through culture and creativity.

FORM Café is open daily, except for public holidays, and is home to some of the best coffee in Claremont. As a not-for-profit café, every dollar you spend goes towards helping FORM build a State of Creativity. We are proud to be a part of the vibrant creative scene in Western Australia.

Our address is 4 Shenton Road, Claremont WA 6010. FORM Gallery is open from Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 3:00pm, and Saturday, 8:00am - 12:00pm. FORM Café is open Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 12:00pm, and Saturday, 7:30am - 12:00pm. Please note that we are closed on Sundays. In 2016, we relocated our main office to the Old Stationmaster’s House and established a gallery in the heritage-listed goods shed building at Claremont Station. While overseeing the transformation of this beautiful old building into an exhibition space, community hub, and café, we decided to retain the name The Goods Shed. However, we have now chosen to bring our main office, gallery, and café together under the one FORM name. This change will provide more clarity for our visitors, partners, collaborators, and supporters, and reinforce our FORM identity and brand.

FORM owns and manages the Gallery building, which was signed over to us by the State Government in 2019. We are committed to its ongoing use, preservation, and purpose for the benefit of all Western Australians. Our activities encompass high-level artist development and exhibitions, place-making and strategy, and social and multicultural engagement.

We would like to acknowledge and pay respect to the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work, including the Whadjuk Noongar people in Perth and the Traditional Custodians across Western Australia. We honor the community Elders and their ancestors who have cared for this country.
