"Fun place to stay! Fremantle is a great place to base yourself in Perth. Kitchens are large and modern, bathrooms are as good as a gym. Ask about Rottnest tours, short walk to the ferry and YHA has a discount deal. Rooms can be a little stuffy, but I was happy with how quiet they were! Saturday night has lots of live music nearby, so be aware of this."
"Pretty unique experience, not often can you get a tour of a prison. The tour guide was very creative and energetic and tried her best to make the tour as interesting as possible."
"A very cool hostel built in a prison! I'll say when I was walking up to the entrance you can feel this prison enegery from the past! They modernised the place, but the walls, corridors and backyard stayed the same as in history. Super cool hostel!"
"Overall the stay was good, I just really hated the layout. The rooms were on one side with the bathrooms and kitchens on the other. I was in an 10 bed mixed so every time I wanted to change or use the bathroom I had to walk quite far. The cleaners would also clean the bathrooms at 9am, meaning no bathrooms were available for women then."
"Room wise is good and clean. WiFi works perfectly. Stable and strong enough. But service wise is sucks. Staffs are horrible. Looks like they don’t know or just ignore to do service excellence to guests. Receptionist rude and unfriendly. When I told him bout the TV problem in my room he went to check it then he said it’s unplugged that’s why it doesn’t work and he said it with annoying face, expressing that I’m so stupid for not knowing it. But then when I tried to turn it on,the TV still didn’t work. Then about the house keeping staff,I did the online check like I was instructed on email, already chose the time but at 10 am sharp when I was packing my stuff to get ready to check out the cleaning service knock my door and asked me to check out hurriedly with a rude voice. Dude,I pay to stay there not staying for free. Also the salary you get are from the guests who stay there. Don’t be impolite and disrespectful. You won’t get your salary if no guests are staying there anymore cause of your arrogant behavior! Such a shame. It could be a perfect accommodation to stay if only the staffs know how to behave."
