"This is was another place that I've been wanting to try and saved it for a special occasion. We ordered Seafood spring rolls, Pad Thai, Deep fried tilapia with tamarind gravy, chicken rendang and a steam rice. I was really excited in trying the food, but I almost lost my appetite when they took more than 30 minutes to cook our food and even worse where we ended up getting the pad thai first and I had to remind them about the seafood spring rolls as they arrived at last with the rest of the food. The portions were good in size and was tasty, but we lost hydration and had to drink a lot of water throughout the night as it really made us uncomfortable. I suspect that it's the pad thai & tilapia with tamarind gravy. The prices are reasonable, the food was average and their service needs to improve. That's my review on this venue!"
"Better than most Melbourne ‘Malaysian’ places. The food was so great, I almost forgot I was in Adelaide! Not to mention the atmosphere of the place and the long lost slang. Staff was very friendly and the food got even better from when we first tried them when they were based in their old place."
"What a great little place they have here. Some really authentic Malaysian food, which is absolutely amazing. They have a different menu on Thursday and Friday compared to Saturday and Sunday, so of course, we had to try both. Unfortunately I forgot the photos on Friday night but the meals were outstanding. We ordered satays, spring rolls, nasi lamek fried chicken, beef rendang and the prawn curry. The beef rendang was amazing one of the best you'll ever have. The sambal for the hainese chicken was the best I've ever had and ordered more to cover my dish completely. The prawn curry was a slight let down as the prawns were overcooked. Saturday night we ordered hainanese chicken, barramundi curry, beef bone soup, vegetables. The barramundi curry was so good we ordered another dish. The hainanese chicken was delicious with the sauces provided and the sambal tonight was different and packed so much more heat you had to be careful but was still so tasty. If you love spicy food, this sambal is for you. They have some desserts there and I have no idea what they are but the green balls covered in coconut was outstanding. You might want to book to get to this place. It is a great eating experience."
"My neighbour had raved about this place for ages but I was not interested in a takeaway-only joint. So, when I was told they now have a proper restaurant, I jumped at the chance to try. Suffice to say, after reading the Google reviews by fellow Malaysians and arriving at 2pm on a Sunday to find the place packed with Malaysians, I had sky high expectations. I am excited and astounded that all my expectations were exceeded! The gravy in the beef curry was out of this world good, explodes with intense umami flavour. The beef would have been better if it came with a bit of marbled fat and tendon, like chuck or brisket, nevertheless was beautifully tender. The chicken in the roasted Hainan chicken rice was not roasted but deep fried. Doesn't matter, as the flavour more than made up for it, and the rice was delicious, not sickly greasy with chicken fat like they sometimes are. The ondeh ondeh was a nice touch. Did not have that freshly grated coconut of course, and the gula melaka was not completely melted, but still good enough. The icing on the cake? The lovely owners are the sort of warm, hospitable Malays you find in Kelantan and rural Malaysia, one of the things I miss most about Malaysia, after the food of course!"
"Very authentic Malaysian restaurant, you are welcome to order anything on the menu and would never gonna be wrong. Their Nasi Lemak was top notch and the fragrance was strong, we loved it. The Chicken Skewer is 10/10 would definitely recommend anyone going for it, must try with the peanut sauce! They do “weekend” special, meaning you could try something new going back every weekend!"
