At Goodstart Burton, we strongly believe in play-based learning and sensory activities for children of all ages. Our purpose-built early learning center has a capacity of 84 children per day across four rooms, catering to different age groups from 0-2, 2-3, 3-4, and Preschool. We welcome children as young as 6 weeks old and encourage families to stay with us until school age, as we offer a Government Funded Preschool program taught by our qualified Early Learning Teacher, Misha Pachani. We are also fortunate to have a qualified Early Learning Teacher, Kavita Dhingra, teaching in our 3-year-old room, providing valuable play-based learning in preparation for the Preschool program.

Reconciliation is an important value at Goodstart Burton, and we actively acknowledge and learn from the Kaurna people. Our Reconciliation Action Plan aims to pass on love and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures to the children in our care. We begin each day with an Acknowledgement of Land, encouraging all children to engage in this meaningful ritual.

Building strong relationships with our families is a priority for us. We work closely with parents to create a sense of community and belonging. Our passionate and highly trained teaching staff ensures your child's readiness for school and provides a child-centered, teacher-guided learning framework. We also offer access to Storypark, an online learning portfolio for your child.

To make your life easier, we have an onsite qualified cook who prepares fresh and nutritious meals daily, catering to all dietary requirements. We provide meals, nappies, wipes, cot linen, and sunscreen at no extra charge.

I am Tamicka, the Centre Director at Goodstart Burton. With a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, I have been passionate about education and care for over ten years. I continuously strive to explore new career opportunities and enhance my skills and knowledge to achieve my goals. I have extensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards, and I am always researching new early childhood topics.

Program and practice are my strong passions, and I love finding creative ways to explore these concepts with the children, educators, and families. I believe in lifelong learning and actively promote it among our team. As a trained educator, I also enjoy mentoring and guiding other professionals in the sector.
