About the Business
Welcome to The Woods Medical Centre & Skin Cancer Clinic, located in the beautiful coastal suburb of Scarborough, Perth, Western Australia. Our friendly reception staff are here to assist you and provide you with the best care possible.
At The Woods Medical Centre, we offer a comprehensive range of services in general practice and skin cancer medicine for patients of all ages. From routine check-ups to specialized care, our dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and reception staff are committed to providing personalized and high-quality medical care to the Scarborough and surrounding communities.
Our founder, Dr. Angie Barker, established the centre in 2008 with a vision to deliver exceptional family medicine services. Recognizing the need for better healthcare options, Dr. Barker and her colleagues have built a practice that values personal health and places a special emphasis on skin cancer detection and management.
Our doctors are all fully qualified and have their own areas of expertise. Dr. Barker, Dr. Oh, and Dr. Chudasama have additional qualifications in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery, utilizing advanced technology for early detection. We also have a full-time nurse who supports our team of doctors, allowing many services to be delivered in-house.
Located in a charming heritage building on Scarborough Beach Road, our medical centre provides a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients. With ample parking available, we welcome both new and existing patients to visit us.
We understand that health needs can be unexpected, and we strive to accommodate our patients within an appropriate timeframe. Whether you require pre-natal care, vaccinations, men's or women's health checks, or general skin checks, you can depend on us to be there for your care.
Discounted fees are available for eligible pensioners, health card holders, children, and full-time students. Children under 12 are bulk billed for their visits. Please note that some services may require additional fees, and DNA fees may apply for late cancellations.
For your convenience, we are located just a short walk from Scarborough Beach and have convenient bus stops nearby. If you require a home visit outside of our opening hours, our locum service is available to assist you.
Please remember to consult with your doctor for personalized advice and information. We look forward to providing you with exceptional healthcare services at The Woods Medical Centre & Skin Cancer Clinic.

"Dr Cole is our family doctor and has been since our children were young. She has always been professional, knowledgeable and caring. She takes time to answer questions and provide as much information as possible, to ensure I understand and what the next steps should be. The office staff are very caring, helpful and always trying to accommodate. Would highly recommend them!"
"Reception is A1 for efficiency and friendliness. Dr Cole & Dr Barker are first class for treatment."
"I have been a patient of The Woods for well over a decade and my young children have grown up with The Woods family from babies. The doctors have always been extremely caring and professional and have provided the best care for our family. The reception staff and manager are always accommodating, welcoming and tentative. We have been so grateful over the years for the services this Practice has continued to provide us. Would highly recommend."
"Disgusting medical practice charge me $150 to look at my daughter for two minutes and didn’t even do anything. Should be reported for fraud."
"Disappointing medical advise from Dr Graeme Fearns. Request for antibiotics denied but then having to go to urgent care 2 days later to get antibiotics because I had gotten even worse (the doc said it was quite dangerous to leave and if I got worse, I would need to go to emergency). I feel like this could have been prevented if I had gotten antibiotics when initially requested. No wonder he was the only doctor in the area available with appointments. Do not recommend!"
