Welcome to the TSKF Playford Shotokan Karate Dojo, located in Elizabeth Park, Innes Street 17. As a prominent establishment and health point of interest in Australia, we are proud to be affiliated with the Traditional Shotokan Karate-Do Federation (TSKF), specifically the South Australian branch.

At TSKF, we are a not-for-profit karate organization that welcomes individuals of all ages and skill levels. Our open-door policy ensures that everyone has the opportunity to experience the benefits of karate training and participate in competitive events. Following the traditions of Shotokan founder Gichin Funakoshi and the late Master Nakayama of the Japan Karate Association (JKA), we strive to uphold the principles and values they instilled.

Originally part of the JKA, we are now affiliated with the International Shotokan Karate Federation (ISKF). This connection allows us to stay connected to the global karate community and ensures that we maintain the highest standards of instruction and training. One of our greatest privileges is having our chief instructor, Takahashi Shihan, visit Australia twice a year for seminars, gradings, and competitions. With over 50 years of experience, Takahashi Shihan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our dojo.

We are also honored to have had Kobayashi Shihan of the JKA attend our Nationals earlier this year. These visits from esteemed karate masters further enhance the quality of instruction and provide our students with unique learning opportunities.
