At Doubleview House, we believe in the power of community and the importance of connection. That's why we offer a wide range of events, courses, and activities that allow people to come together, share, learn, and reduce isolation. As you stroll down Hancock Street or Scarborough Beach Road, you can't miss the vibrant and eye-catching mural that adorns the three facades of Doubleview House. Created by our chosen artist Imogen Palmer, this beautiful artwork adds a touch of serenity and charm to our institution.
Getting involved in your local community has never been easier. We collaborate with various community groups and not-for-profits, offering playgroups for children aged 0-5 years. Additionally, in partnership with Ngala Parenting Connections WA, we provide a range of fun classes and informative workshops for parents and kids. Drama Stars and Circle of Security are just a few examples of the popular programs we offer at Doubleview House.
Calling all families with children aged 2-5 years! Join us for our free 9-week program every Wednesday from 9.15am to 10.00am. It's a fantastic opportunity for your little ones to engage in play and socialize with their peers.
In collaboration with Ngala and Drama Stars, Doubleview House is excited to host a series of free, interactive drama and creative play sessions for parents and caregivers and their children. Each session is filled with storytelling, music, movement, creative games, and engaging drama activities. Let your imagination run wild as you embark on a different magical adventure each week!
Please note that places for our programs are limited, so be sure to book through Ngala's website to secure your spot.
In addition to our regular programs, we also organize community events that bring locals together. These events are a fantastic way to get to know your neighbors and build lasting connections.
And if you have something of value that needs fixing, join us every second Saturday of the month for our Fix-It Day. Our wonderful volunteers will help you repair and restore your items, keeping them out of landfill. Just remember, we can only accept a maximum of 2 items per person.
At Doubleview House, we strive to create a warm and inclusive environment where everyone is welcome. Come and join us today to be a part of our vibrant community and make lasting memories.
