"I am absolutely outraged and appalled by the recent decision made by the hospital regarding my potentially life-saving test. Despite the urgency and importance of this procedure, they have insisted that I cancel it simply because I don't have anyone available to pick me up afterward and there is a slight chance of an adverse reaction to the anesthesia, which has never occurred in the past. I understand the concern for patient safety, but isn't it equally important to consider the risk of compromising lives by delaying or canceling critical medical tests? It's deeply frustrating to think that the hospital is willing to jeopardize patients' well-being due to administrative reasons. It is crucial for medical institutions to prioritise patient care and make decisions that genuinely safeguard lives. Rather than turning away patients who lack immediate support, alternative solutions and support systems should be put in place to ensure everyone can access the vital healthcare they need. What's worse, there's a waiver I can sign to discharge myself "against doctor's advice," but the hospital staff is forbidden from disclosing it, leaving us with no choice. This situation feels like an amplified "nanny state" mentality, and I honestly can't comprehend it. It's disheartening and bewildering to witness the lack of patient-centered care. I urge the hospital administration to reconsider their decision and reevaluate their protocols. It's time to strike a balance between safety measures and patient-centered care. Every life matters, and no one should be denied potentially life-saving procedures due to logistical challenges."
"Defiantly the best hospital experience I’ve ever had . From the moment my referral went through the gp was organised and got me through to the procedures the following week . Gp , nurses , doctors and anaesthesia specialist were all amazing and went above and beyond and made me feel well looked after and taken care of especially as it was a unfamiliar environment for me and I have bad anxiety so they helped so much . From the moment I walked in the receptionist was lovely then the holding room gave me a warm blanket , socks , dressing gown etc and made me feel so comfortable. Then the anaesthetic specialist which I was really nervous about made me feel listened to and supported even when going under nurse and him were so friendly and kind . Recovery room were all great too . Definitely recommend them all thank you for looking after me and making me feel safe ."
"What a horrible experience. Firstly the anastheliologist hurt me while quickly pushing the enaesthetic in my hand that i screamed out and then i was asleep. When i awoke, as a result i suffered great anxiety, more pain and was given more special k, more side affects. The nurse appointed to me mistreated me, looked into my bag and stole while i was watching from the toilet. The other so called nurse brought yelled at me and said, no wonder you are fat, as my little son brought me a frozen sprite. She threatened and tried to throw it out but i yelled at her crying that it was from my son. I sent a lengthy complaint to the hospital and they were not empathetic or sympathetic at all. I am still traumatised and cannot go to a hospital ever since. This is not a private hospital. It is a dump! It requires new young nurses who are patient and trained good bed side manner. Both nurses i had were over 60 and obviously did not want to be there! I am over 60, not discriminating age, they are over it I think and need to move on! NEVER go there!"
"I was given extremely good care during my post op knee surgery. I misread a couple of situations and reacted badly. It lead to staff feeling devalued. I am so sorry to have caused any problem. I saw some tremendous team work between the staff members, in turn this filters down to patients My apologies and a big thank you to all."
"Required Cataract Surgery some time ago now, this hospital was an option to have the procedure done here, going through private system for consultation and treatment. Car parking was stress free unlike some other hospitals. Staff and doctors here were professional, however the after care and follow ups could have been better though. The rooms and beds are dated and could do with a revamp. Not sure I’d come back anytime soon."
