"Service by the paediatrician was positive but when I paid the bill I would have at least thought they would lodge the claim with Medicare but I have now had to do this after just having my first baby (as if it’s something that is a priority). Given finances are tight and a quick visit cost $474.00, claiming the money back is important. Would recommend you ensure you have Medicare details on file and help your patients by submitting the claim. Unfortunately I am still waiting for Medicare to process my claim as it had to be done manually."

"Dr Jehangir was the paediatrician overseeing my sons birth in SJOG Mt Lawley hospital. Everything was OK with that side of things but there was a serious lack of professionalism in terms of his admin and accounts team. Firstly, our account was sent to our old address (from the birth of my last child 2 years previous). We had given the hospital our new address for admission and I received a phone call 2 months post birth asking why the account had not been settled. They then realised it was the wrong address and emailed me the overdue notice which we settled via bank transfer the next day. I then received phone calls over the next week asking for mine and my sons Medicare details so they would claim for my rebate. This was all via email and I gave them what they needed. They kept asking for a receipt and screenshot and proof of the payment. These back and forth phone calls were tedious and I told them it was fine I would just claim it myself (I don't know why their accounts team couldn't see our money transfer given we had to quote our reference etc). About a month passed and I was yet to do the claim on my end, we had paid the account in full but they kept hassling me for this proof of receipt. Then approximately a month later I received an invoice for the gap payment saying they had claimed my Medicare and we still needed to pay the gap. We had already paid the invoice over a month prior and now were unable to claim through Medicare as they had done it on our behalf. They had our full payment PLUS our Medicare rebate. When on the phone the staff seemed to have no idea what was happening. I sent the receipt of payment but a certain person couldn't approve it and I had phone calls back and forth with 3 different staff members for a week before almost 2 weeks later they finally transferred the Medicare rebate into our account. I would not deal with Smart Paeds again due to their lack of professionalism and inability to communicate and deal with their patients."

"2021: Disappointing lack of communication and interaction with my child and us. Minimal effort. Reception staff incompetent. So sad parents are desperate enough to have to use him 2022: 25/7- I hoped our next appointment was an improvement but refused to see us as I wasn’t happy the previous times. "Dr Jehangir has been a fantastic help in diagnosing my step daughter with ADHD. She has been overlooked all of her life (even though I have always known in my heart otherwise) as she isn't your 'typical ADHD boy' (We also have a son with ADHD). We presented Dr Jehangir with evidence and within the first appointment he was able to diagnose her. He is very straight down the line with facts and has a mannerism that made our girl very comfortable with him. His administration staff are super helpful especially Fleur. Thank you so much guys for helping the process of our girl being understood and most of all assisted her in better understanding herself!!"
