About the Business
Welcome to the Roundhouse Theatre, located at Mount Lawley, Bradford Street, 2 in Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, we are proud to be affiliated with the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), which has been helping students realize their dreams of successful careers in the performing arts and entertainment industries for over 30 years.
At WAAPA, there is never a dull moment. Our academy is a constant hive of activity, offering a packed program of performances each year. Our world-class teaching staff and specialist tutors bring their knowledge and skills gained from professional experience on stage and behind the scenes, ensuring our students receive the best training possible.

We take pride in providing the most comprehensive range of performing arts training in Australia, both on stage and behind the scenes. Our weekend and holiday workshops, taught by WAAPA's staff and industry professionals, offer practical tuition in areas such as acting, singing, music, dance, and music theatre.
We are thrilled to offer Professional Development opportunities for Drama, Music, and Dance teachers. These workshops are taught by world-renowned staff in our state-of-the-art performance and teaching facilities.
Each year, WAAPA students, staff, and special guest artists participate in an amazing selection of performances. Booking a WAAPA performance is easy, with multiple options available.
We are grateful for the generous help and support of our donors, sponsors, Friends, and alumni, as they play a vital role in making WAAPA the thriving performance institution and community it is today. We love keeping track of the success of our graduates.
WAAPA is generously supported by our sponsors, community partners, and philanthropic donors, as well as through the work of the Friends of The Academy. We celebrate the achievements of our most outstanding students through the presentation of scholarships and prizes each year.
Our postgraduate students and staff are actively involved in research and collaboration across a wide range of performing arts disciplines, including music, music theatre, acting, performance, dance, production, design, arts management, and more. Our research groups focus on various disciplines within the arts, education, and performance.
Explore our Research at WAAPA brochure to discover recent research highlights and the diverse stories of our key researchers. Additionally, our WAAPA Accent and Dialect collection contains over 300 audio samples from 60 countries of origin.
We are excited to introduce our brand new Corporate Training program, led by leading artists, practitioners, and educators with real-world experience in translating professional performing arts training and advanced techniques into tangible skills for individuals and organizations.
