About the Business
Welcome to The Rechabite, a unique institution located in Northbridge, William Street, Australia. We proudly honor the Whadjuk Noongar people, the traditional custodians of the land on which our establishment resides, and we offer our utmost respect to Elders past, present, and emerging.
Step into our multi-level palace of surprise and delight, which has been resurrected from the ruins of a century-old heritage hall in the heart of Perth's entertainment and cultural precincts. The Rechabite Hall, originally built by The Independent Order of Rechabites, an international temperance movement, holds a rich history. This once-thriving institution fought against the evil influence of liquor, serving as a gathering place for community, conviviality, and abstinence from strong drinks. While we continue to embrace community and conviviality, we joyfully ignore the third principle. Huzzah!
Today, The Rechabite stands as a year-round haven for connoisseurs of the creative good-life and entertainment enthusiasts alike. Our complex spans four floors, offering a diverse range of entertainment and hospitality options. Descend into the Goodwill Club, where you'll find a basement oasis of enjoyment. Ascend to the Double Rainbow Eating House, a culinary delight that will tantalize your taste buds. Finally, make your way up to the Hello Rooftop Bar, where you can sip on refreshing beverages while enjoying breathtaking views. All of these areas are wrapped around The Rechabite Hall, an iconic live performance space where anything can happen, and it probably will.
At The Rechabite, we can't wait to welcome you with open arms. Your happiness is our pleasure, and we encourage you to indulge in the delights we have to offer. We firmly believe that abstinence from enjoyment is not the recommended path to redemption.
It is important to note that The Rechabite acknowledges that we live, love, work, play, and Fringe on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar. We pay our respects to the elders, both past and present, as well as emerging leaders.
Please be aware that our establishment operates under License Number 638209899017, with a Class of License as a Tavern Restricted. The licensee is Happy Heart Pty Ltd. Under the Liquor Control Act 1988, it is an offense to sell or supply liquor to a person under the age of 18 years on licensed or regulated premises. Similarly, it is an offense for a person under the age of 18 years to purchase or attempt to purchase liquor on licensed or regulated premises.
We look forward to your visit to The Rechabite, where unforgettable experiences await you.

"Great venue for shows. Such a pity there is only 1 bar that is easy access for shows and that the toilets are so far away and down many stairs. Staff are always lovely."
"What a wonderful place to eat. I don’t know what they put in the potatoes but they’re are a must have. Also the Supernova cocktail is sure to make your tastebuds sings. The atmosphere and decor, even the cutlery seems like it’s curate to make the experience even better."
"For special occasions or bring your rich friends, the Rechabite almost has a modern take on a rustic Asian vibe. Now I dined at Double Rainbow, be sure to book, I previously went during fringe and got turned away. Understandable since there was a show at the venue. Now I brought a vegan friend and the amount of vegan options available are pretty good! I ordered myself the Salmon Tataki and you’ll appreciate this dish if you love sushi/sashimi/fresh raw fish. The triple cooked potatoes usually come with garlic duck fat (which honestly sound delicious but my doc says I need to lower my cholesterol, and remember, vegan friend) I think for the price I was expecting something a little more special but the spices on it gave it that lift it needed. I’ll be honest, I’m not usually a fan of Edamame (they kinda taste like bland farts) however they were wok tossed with unknown something which actually gave it a dimension of flavour so this wasn’t bad at all! The mocktail that has grape and lime? Hell yea, 10/10. The rice cakes were pretty steep at $26, I love how tender they are and they’re coated in black bean sauce and cooked with mushrooms. I liked it but it was a lil expensive for the smaller size. The bao surprised me $12 each and had a bit of salad and one breaded mushroom, the mushroom itself was good but I probably wouldn’t get this again. The dessert bento in my opinion was worth it. $25 for 4 desserts. I loved the blueberry cheesecake with boba, the chocolate tart was yummy and my friend loved the sorbet with coconut jelly. We were allowed to split our bill evenly and it ended up being $70 each. We were filled to the brim. Service was great, they held our dessert until we were ready. Overall a decent feed. I didn’t give it the full 5 as the Baos and rice cakes weren’t what I would consider value for money. But I’d likely come again."
"Went with a group of friends and had the chef’s menu! Amazing! Creative cuisine with an underlying Asian influence. Everything was fresh: highlight was the scallop dumplings and salmon … small wine list but reasonably priced and varied. Great service… There is something different on each floor and has a great rooftop bar definitely a highlight if you are visiting Perth"
