"Wow, authentic Thai cuisine with the actual Thai Street hawker feel combined with modern interior aesthetics. Truly one of the best spots in town for Thai food."
"Soi 38 has some really excellent Thai dishes worthy of its higher price range. I went on a Wednesday night with in a group of 4 and about 2/3 of the tables were dined. We order a number of dishes to try and share as a group and didn’t really hold back. Grilled beef skewers were good but otherwise standard. Sago peanut dumplings were nice but in our opinion the gelatinous dumpling layer could have been a bit thinner or more filling to balance the ratio of dumpling skin to filling. Papaya salad was great and embodied all the sweet, salty, sour, and spicy flavours. Nice and refreshing. The pork jowl salad is one of the dishes I recommend to get if you don’t mind eating pork fat. Very tasty and well seasoned. The pad Thai chicken is another recommended dish and one of the best pad Thai’s I’ve had. A good level of spicy and although pictures look like just a regular pad Thai it is far from it. Mix all the ingredients in and $30 may seem like a bit much but it was well worth it. The bbq chicken is also recommended dish and had a great sauce to on the plate to dip in. You get a whole chicken so a good one to share. The green curry with beef was not a good dish. The beef was very dry and tough. The curry barely had any flavour. The sticky rice was also rather dry but otherwise edible. We also had one of the desserts. The sticky date pudding but we swapped the cinnamon sorbet for coconut sorbet. It was nice and sweet in contrast to the dinner. I personally would have liked if the sorbet scoop was bigger. Overall would go again to try the other dishes given that the hit/miss rate is well in favour of good."
"Really enjoyed eating here. The setting is very pretty, the food was beautifully presented, and the service was excellent. Everything on the menu sounded delicious, and I look forward to going back to try more! An excellent wine and cocktail list too. My only complaint is the Spicy Margarita I ordered came out in a tumbler, and looked like it could have been a lemon squash (along with the straw in it)! They redeemed themselves with the next cocktail, called Night Market, which was gorgeous (and yum!)."
"Excellent service! We went there yesterday to have my mum's birthday dinner. All the staff members were so friendly, made us feel welcome. Food was absolutely delicious, good portions and reasonable prices as well. Thank you so much for making our day special. I would recommend this place to anyone."
"Was expecting an amazing aray of food and service but didn't hit the mark. Staff almost like going through the motions, and although the portions were generous, the food was tasty but nothing special. Asked to leave to make way for another seating. Had the Tour Of Thailand menu option, spent $600 for 5 people ..... corkage was extortion at $35 a bottle. Enough said"
