"Shocking Treatment of My Child at Fiona Stanley Mental Health Section I am deeply saddened and outraged by the abhorrent treatment my child received at the Fiona Stanley mental health section. My hope was that she would receive the care and support she needed, but despite her vulnerable state, she was instead treated with callousness and disregard. This ordeal has left her traumatized and never wanting to go back there for further treatment if required. From the moment we entered the facility, it was clear that the staff lacked empathy and understanding. It's shocking that a place that claims to provide mental health care could be so heartless. What's even more concerning is the lack of communication from qualified professionals. We were left to interact with individuals who seemed ill-equipped to handle the complex needs of mental health patients. It's clear that proper training and supervision are sorely lacking in this section. Communication was virtually nonexistent with until we requested it. We were kept in the dark about my child's treatment plan, progress, requests and any potential next steps. One would expect that communication would be an essential aspect of any healthcare facility! I implore anyone seeking mental health care for their loved ones to steer clear of Fiona Stanley Mental Health Section. The treatment we experienced was nothing short of a nightmare, and it's heartbreaking to think that others might endure similar ordeals. The level of neglect and mistreatment my daughter encountered is beyond comprehension and demands urgent attention. The environment exuded an air of indifference and desolation, reflecting the lack of empathy and compassion among the staff. Witnessing my vulnerable child subjected to such callousness was truly gut-wrenching. It is my sincere hope that this review serves as a wake-up call to the administration of Fiona Stanley Mental Health Section and prompts them to take immediate and drastic steps to overhaul their mental health section. Our loved ones deserve compassion, respect, and proper care, not the harrowing experience we endured. Please use caution and explore other options for your family's mental health needs. "I come here for treatment regularly and have found that the hospital is nicely laid out. Plenty of coffee shops, a small food court and easy guidance to find your direction. Toilets are a bit confusing, I have only found one set on my own and the ladies only has two toilets. Not enough for the amount of people coming here or working so I am assuming there are more I have missed. Maybe they need better sign posting. Staff have always been helpful. Lifts always seem to be working and not broken down or being repaired. Lots of space to walk around without touching others and seating while you wait. Bus stop right outside or a 5 minute walk to Murdoch train station. Paid parking. Overall a good experience once you get the hang of it."
