Welcome to MercyCare Early Learning Centre Banksia Grove! Located at Banksia Grove, Joseph Banks Boulevard, our establishment is a point of interest that offers a unique and enriching experience for children.

One of the highlights of our centre is the enormous nature play area, spanning 700 square metres. This space provides children with the freedom to run, explore, and challenge themselves through play. We believe that children learn best through play, and our nature-based play area is designed to stimulate and challenge them. With features like a rock-climbing wall, forts, log ladders, a rope climbing frame, balance beams, and water play spaces, children are encouraged to take risks, build resilience, and play independently.

Our modern and custom-built centre incorporates cutting-edge design principles, with each room featuring floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors that overlook the outdoor natural centerpiece. This design allows children to connect with nature and enjoy a seamless indoor-outdoor learning environment.

At MercyCare Banksia Grove Early Learning Centre, we prioritize providing a safe and secure setting for children. We value and respect the uniqueness of each family and strive to involve them in their child's learning journey. Our highly qualified and experienced educational team creates a flexible, responsive, and engaging learning environment tailored to each child's individual needs.

In addition to our nutritious daily menu, we offer the MercyCare MiniChef program. This program provides children with the opportunity to create and learn different recipes, fostering skills in maths, science, problem-solving, healthy eating, and sharing. With culturally rich dishes and Indigenous recipes, this program promotes diversity and cultural understanding.

Environmental sustainability is a key focus at our Banksia Grove child care centre. We have developed activities that teach children about the importance of recycling, waste reduction, and caring for our environment. Through these activities, we aim to instill a sense of responsibility and stewardship for the world around us.

As the Centre Manager and an educator, I am passionate about creating a holistic environment for children. I believe in providing them with the tools and opportunities to reach their potential while having fun. With a diploma in early childhood education and care from Ireland and 12 years of experience in the sector, I am dedicated to supporting our future generations and helping them achieve their goals.

At MercyCare Banksia Grove Early Learning Centre, we have built strong relationships with the families who attend. We pride ourselves on creating a close-knit community where everyone feels welcomed and valued. Parents have expressed their confidence in our loving and caring environment, where their children feel happy, comfortable, and safe.

Whether your child is attending "school days" for the first time or has been with us since we opened in 2019, we strive to make every child feel special and welcome. Our dedicated educators go above and beyond to create a nurturing and engaging environment that children love to be a part of.

Throughout the year, we organize various events and activities to enhance learning and celebrate important occasions. From practicing Dad skills for Father's Day to bringing characters and heroes to life during Children's Book Week, we believe in creating memorable experiences that inspire and educate.

As an institution, we also recognize and respect the Aboriginal people as the original owners of the land on which we provide our services. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present, and emerging, and value their unique connection to land, water, and community. During NAIDOC week, we actively promote Aboriginal history and culture, fostering cultural understanding and appreciation.
