"Money hungry, wow my animals importance was the last priority... Never take your fur kids here! Eva!! Dirty fly infested shed.... Disgraceful. This place needs investigating."
"We have been long time clients of Dirk since 2007, yes we have had some bad experiences in the past, but the good has always outweighed them... until this past weekend. We had a sick horse with what appeared to be colic and tried to contact Dirk via the office phone line and the after hours phone line. Couldn't get through, so after work we drove to the clinic, found the gate locked but saw Dirk and told him what happened. He gave us four syringes, two with laxative, and we made the horse comfortable for the night, as he didn't want to come out and drench her. Sunday morning, she seemed to be in a better state, but went downhill in the late afternoon. We received a text asking when we would bring the horse in (we don't have access to a horse float currently, to take her to the clinic, as he was told Saturday night). Again, after work we drove to the clinic and tried calling both numbers again (even honked the car horn and flashed the headlights, to try and attract the attention of someone out the front of the clinic), but only get the voice mail, left messages and we received no reply. We called again and left a message, then when we got home and found the horse got worse, so we called again and asked for him to please come out and see her, as it's urgent. Not long after that call, we rang again begging with them to come out and euthanize the horse, to end her suffering. My mother feels that if Dirk had come out Saturday night, our horse would still be with us today. It was fortunate she passed naturally quickly, but still... why have an after hours number and don't answer? Why offer home care, when you don't? Why ignore voice messages, pleading for help and don't respond? It would seem that what we were told once is true : if you want a animal to die, take them to the Gingin Vet Clinic."
