"I am so thankful to Vicky (Midwife) for being so compassionate, caring and professional during my whole birthing experience. The team behind my c section were absolutely amazing, I wouldn't change a thing. My baby spent 2 days/nights in the NICU, which was quiet distressing. The midwife's in the ward were amazing all but 1. My baby's first night in my room I had an awful experience with a "midwife". I was absolutley traumatised and called my partner crying. I was so nervous/anxious I didn't sleep until 5 30 am when I finally gave in. I spent the whole night making sure she didn't touch my baby unless I allowed it or was supervised. I was so greatful to see the handover in the morning and broke down in tears once the staff came in. I never caught her name, she never introduced herself. I made a complaint with the manager on duty which I believe was dealt with professionally. That lady ruined what should have been a joyous moment. She has made my PPA so much worse. I hope I never have to see that lady again. Everybody else, thank you."
"My name is Antonio Michelotti and I was admitted to the emergency room of the Joondalup hospital, due to a bad fall, on Saturday afternoon and then discharged on Sunday morning and I would like to thank the whole structure and all the operators (doctors, paramedics and nurses) for their expertise , kindness and attention with which I was treated from the first moment I got into the ambulance until my discharge. Thank you all you have been brilliant."
"23/05/2023 22:50 I would like to share my exceptional experience with the doctors and nurses at this hospital. When my son was born here, the level of care we received was truly outstanding. The dedication and expertise displayed by the medical staff were commendable, and I firmly believe that the quality of service provided is unmatched. However, I must address a concern regarding the emergency room. While I understand that the wait times may be beyond the control of the doctors and nurses, it is disheartening that the wait can be excessively long. Additionally, the chairs in the waiting area are extremely uncomfortable, especially during extended periods of waiting. I strongly suggest that the hospital management considers procuring better chairs to alleviate the discomfort experienced by patients and their families. On a personal note, during one visit to the emergency room, I found myself in unbearable pain, particularly in my back. Unfortunately, due to the lack of available beds, I had no alternative but to lie on the floor for several hours. This was a distressing experience, and I hope that measures will be taken in the future to improve the situation and provide a more comfortable environment for patients in need. Despite these challenges, I remain optimistic that the hospital will work towards enhancing its services, especially in the emergency room. The medical staff's dedication and commitment to delivering exceptional care are evident, and I have no doubt that improvements can be made to further enhance the overall experience for patients. Wishing the hospital the best in its endeavors. Cheers!"
"Long story short, Dr admitted me to hospital to get checked urgently due to painful stomach, bladder. Hospital didn't do what the Dr asked. Hospital staff Sent me home without finding any of the Dr's concerns. The end of the week I contacted my Dr again with my concerns and he sent me for CT scan, the scan results showed tears in my stomach lining which were beginning to heal over. I got admitted to the hospital with thanks to a surgeon. I've now been in hospital from Tuesday afternoon now it's Saturday 2am sitting in yet another room with a patient that's snoring like the previous night. Can't sleep and no medication to help. Just a very disappointing experience Most of the staff are amazing. Was trying to sleep in the afternoon but I had a patients wife sitting in the room I was sharing using it as a call centre to talk to all her friends for around 3 hrs. While her husband was being operated on. Then they stayed for another hour and half past visiting times. Staff was informed but fell on deaf ears. Rules for one but not for others. Not a nice experience, and I'm still here. Moral of the story is, if the hospital tested me like the Dr requested the first visit, my problem wouldn't have been so severe and I wouldn't have had to stay in hospital as long as I've been."
