Currently, we are excited to present "Tartuffe," a side-splitting romp based on the original Moliere comedy. This modern English adaptation by Tim Mooney is a fast-paced, saucy, and incredibly funny production. With sharp wit and clever satire, "Tartuffe" delves into themes of religious hypocrisy, blind piety, and naivety.
Join us on the 7th, 8th, 9th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th (Matinee), 21st, 22nd, and 23rd of September for an unforgettable evening of entertainment. Our curtains rise at 7:30 pm for the evening shows and 2:00 pm for the matinee performance.
In this uproarious play, Tartuffe, a religious and odious character, manages to worm his way into the good graces of the wealthy Orgon. Welcomed into Orgon's home, Tartuffe is showered with the best of everything. However, behind his outward piety lies a lustful nature, and he cunningly secures a promise of marriage to Orgon's daughter, Mariane. The rest of the family sees through Tartuffe's hypocrisy and crafty manipulations, uniting to plot against him and expose his true colors.
