"i would highly recommend this company and its workboots i have been wearing for about 10 years now and always been looked after especially by jodie blackman her knowledge and professionalism and polite nature , also her understanding of my needs and products are very valuable i go through a lot of boots in my line of work and if looked after and stored correctly they will last you also if you have any issues or problems they will sort you out thanks steel blue and jodie i will be recommending to all my work colleagues and contractors and continuing to buy your great boots thanks again and have a great new year everyone"
"This is my 2nd pair of Steel Blue boots. The sole of the first pair disintegrated and they were replaced by a second pair. Only after a few times of use perhaps 5 or 6 times the soles have disintegrated again. I am so disappointed because they are really comfortable to wear. The tops are fine. Pity I cannot purchase sole replacements. Pity Google does not have half a star as they are not worth one star! I would expect these boots to last more than a few wears."
"worst customer service I have had in decades. Wearing their boots since mid 90's, last pair had a fault, took weeks to acknowledge the issue. Months later they have refused to speak to the retailer or myself. Boots have been returned to them in accordance with their strict policies. No response. Still Waiting. Recommend Wide Load boots everything Steel Blue used to be."
"Most comfortable boots I have ever owned - without exception. But also the shortest-lived boots I've ever owned. It's such a shame. They are brilliant boots and I really, really want to support a WA Company, but I've had $29 boots from K-Mart last longer than these. Less than 12 months and the toes have busted out. And I'm not even wearing them in a workplace. I only wear them for pottering around the garden. I also have another pair - in a fawn colour. I wear them rarely and only as "dress boots" and they are on their way out too. I can't afford the premium Steel Blue charges on an annual basis. I need my boots to last a heck of a lot longer. Disappointed - and unable to recommend to others."
"Every year I'm having to replace my steel blues because the heel part on the inside keeps collapsing which caused my heels, legs back and hips to hurt I now have planter fasciitis which is the reason for boot replacement every year. A very expensive boot to replace every year, how long should boots last? I really do think there is a manufacturing issue with these boots, they are comfy but when the insides collapse and cause medical problems, they are far too expensive. Can anyone tell me what other brands are available that are comfortable to wear?"
