"Worst in class reception & intake procedures - Save your time, money and look elsewhere. Actually speaking to somebody after receiving notice that a referral needed extra information was borderline impossible, phone will just ring out and direct you to leave a voicemail, none were returned (Plus a web form submission). When I finally did get through for the first & only time I was politely told that I needed to speak with someone else in the business and transferred to a line which proceeded to ring out. My GP's office advised that they experienced similar difficulty receiving any communication and that this was not unusual or out of character for other referrals they had sent."
"amazing psychologists, desperately needs better reception staff (30+mins on hold, failed appointment re-scheduling, no attempt to pass messages on to doctors, etc). the reception staff clearly don’t understand (or care about) the importance of the service being provided, such a shame as it massively drags down the quality of service and the community’s opinion of the clinic."
"I left with more trauma than I went in with. Too traumatic to go into detail. Don't go here. Don't send your loved ones here. They don't care for their patients wellbeing."
"criminally negligent at worst and a waste of money and time at best. I still don’t understand how it can even be legal to give electroshock “therapy” to young patients, the man administering the anaesthetic for it was so incredibly sadistic and cruel that I still have nightmares about it and I woke up several times during it and suffered seizures and severe amnesia for years from it. the hospital wifi should probably be monitored better to block certain websites, as I often overheard word of the patients with eating disorders being targets of online harassment and cyberbullying other patients."
"Dr Alam (Syed) agreed to see me on short notice and it was overall a beneficial but confronting therapeutic experience. He's an interesting Doctor with prestige and influence as a counterpart with local medical universities. Whilst I didn't particularly enjoy the appointments, he certainly facilitated different modalities of treatment which I required at that time. Dr Alam is not afraid to do what is right and in the best interests of the patient. I admire his ability to be such a unique (at times comical) yet impactful presence in the psychiatric medical community in Brisbane. Wish I had the opportunity to get to know him better. His treatment and impact left a great impression which ripples throughout my life, long after my treatment with him came full circle. Wishing him and the clinic all the very best. Receptionists were great here too. Thank you!"
