About the Business
Welcome to Corrie Street Medical Clinic, located at 8 Corrie Street in Chermside, Australia. Established in 1981, we are a boutique, privately owned and operated General Practice dedicated to providing excellent primary health care services.
At Corrie Street Medical Clinic, our team of experienced GPs and health professionals are committed to delivering state-of-the-art, evidence-based medical care to you and your family. We prioritize your health and well-being, ensuring that you receive the highest quality of care possible.
Please note that starting from 12/12/2022, we have implemented mixed billing for patients between the ages of 16 and 65 due to higher costs. However, we continue to bulk bill all existing patients facing financial hardships. For more information about our fees, please don't hesitate to ask our friendly reception staff or your treating doctor.
Conveniently located in the heart of Chermside, we are just a short distance away from the Westfield Chermside Shopping Centre. Ample parking is available right in front of our clinic for our patients' convenience. If you prefer public transport, several bus routes, including the 320, 325, 337, and 353, have stops nearby.
In addition to our comprehensive medical services, there are various other health services available in the area, such as Dental, Pathology, Radiology, and Pharmacy services, all conveniently located around the nearby shopping centre.
While we are a private billing practice, we continue to bulk bill patients who are over 65 years of age, children under 16 years of age, and for results appointments. We strive to ensure that quality healthcare remains accessible to those who need it most.
If you require after-hours medical assistance, please contact the National Home Doctor Service on 13SICK for a bulk billed home visit. Their dedicated team is available to provide medical care when our clinic is closed.

Reviews
"Too many people change of hands in information and communication left out. Report wasn't sent to physio like I was told so she had no idea what to do. The session was pointless and nothing was done. The whole building needs renovations, there's no access to toilets or even a basic water machine for patients waiting. The layout is confusing with double doors and two waiting rooms. Doors open onto patients talking to front desk and the area is crowded. No mask policy and sick people close to one another is probably not a good idea. One doctor so expect a long waiting time"
"The medical centre moved from bulk billing fee based billing about 6 months ago which is a big disappointment. Their online booking and Hotdoc clearly states the charge a fee for each consultation and some of the fees are listed there. Most of the doctors are polite and professionals but they usually see a patient about 15 to 30 minutes late."
"Went in to get a general check up and a medical certificate. Came back out with a $60 bill. Had no idea that they had stopped bulk billing, no warning or indication. Got harassed by one of the receptionists, in which after the 3rd phone call they started to get extremely aggressive towards me. Not a family practice in my opinion."
"Waited over half an hour for my appointment, no explanation about the delay so I ended up telling the reception that I'm leaving. Still no apologies for the delay or wasting my time. People who shows up late/ after you will still be seen by the doctor before you. Strongly recommend showing up to your appointment at least 30-40 minutes late so you don't waste your time. They've closed phone consultation options too. Also, inside the clinic, there's a new notice saying you will be charged private fee for a general appointment if you raise more than one health concern on your appointment. Even with the Queensland health's newly update mask regulations, this GP asks patients to purchase mask if you do not have one and they do not notify you this when booking. Thank you for wasting my time and money!"
