"Shocking that such a garbage service can stay afloat in such a competitive industry. UPDATE 4 04/08/2023: Came across this place again by accident while shopping for a bond clean service. Noticed business site includes a fake testimonial under my previous roommate's name. UPDATE 3 11/07/2022: Note that this business as changed its name to "End Of Lease Cleaning Brisbane". Still haven't recovered money from this scam because I didn't feel like going through small claims. Still urge you not to book with them. UDATE 2 5/16/19: Oh dear, this was months ago now but Austral keep making this worse for themselves. I'll respond to the reply Austral provided below here: it accuses me of many things, including not answering calls and not paying in the first place. I will attach a small excerpt of my CC statement as proof to others that Austral are untrustworthy operators. As you can see I clearly did pay but am still in the process of disputing it with my bank. (I actually had to pay more than the fees you can see here out of my bond for a real cleaning company to do the job.) Don't trust this mob, they're just lazy liars. I must add that I was offered a "partial refund" in exchange for taking down this review, but it's more important to me that consumers get a voice. UPDATE: After I posted [my original review] the manager ("Johnson") called my partner to intimidate her into convincing me to remove this review. Disgustingly cowardly, especially since he had the option to call me instead. I suppose he was shaken by my earlier call, which is almost too pathetic to believe. I'm not a scary man. To add further detail to the original dispute, such a poor job was done for my "bond clean" that it was not evident the cleaners had shown up at all. A "fix-up team" was supposedly sent the following day and I was charged for additional services without my consent. After they had left, the property was still not fit for new tenants and there was little evidence of any work done. Several emails went unanswered following the service until I threatened to reverse-charge. If my experience is indicative of a usual service from Austral β and the less-contrived-looking reviews here seem to suggest it is β this service is little more than a scam. Stay far, far away. There are so many other options."
"DO NOT USE THIS CLEANER. My experience is as follows: - My job was booked and paid for upfront 2 weeks prior to the service being provided. - On Friday, 1 October (the day before the clean), I spent the majority of my day coordinating your cleaner and carpet cleaner. Both had no idea what was going on and were extremely difficult to communicate with given they spoke very little English. At times, I would constantly have to repeat myself and they were extremely difficult to get a hold of. - On Saturday, 2 October (the day of the clean), I received a phone call from your support team stating that your cleaner had car troubles (this in itself, is difficult to believe), and that you had no one available to attend the clean that day. This was incredibly frustrating given I was in the middle of a move, and I had already organised the electricity and water to be turned off on Sunday. Dealing with your support staff was also very annoying as I would receive multiple calls from different support staff regarding the same issue. This was both frustrating and annoying as it showed a lack of communication internally. Again, I do not work at BCIC and I felt like a Colleague during this time rather than a customer. - I very reluctantly agreed to postpone the job until Sunday which resulted in me having to reschedule the electricity and water to be turned off (incurring more cost to me). I also had to have an uncomfortable conversation with my landlord who was initially booked in to do the inspection on Sunday. This stuffed her schedule around too. - On Sunday, both the bond cleaner and the carpet cleaner were approximately 45 minutes/1 hour late. Again, I was the one who had to make the phone calls as neither of them had communicated with one another or me to advise they were running behind schedule. This additionally caused me immense inconvenience. When I inspected the property, the floors had water marks all over them. I had kindly asked for a refund of the partial payment which was circa $500 and they downright refused. They offered me a small gift voucher which I would never use given the service experienced."
"Stay away from Austral Cleaners. Very unprofessional company. They ask for upfront payment before they have even done any cleaning. So I paid them upfront, and they were done in less time than I had paid them upfront for - but they refused to provide a refund for the additional time I had been charged. I've made countless phone calls to their head office to organize the refund to no avail. The quality of the bond clean was ok, but there were many areas like window ledges/walls that they forgot to clean. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. These guys aren't worth the trouble."
"My wife booked austral cleaning to clean our house last week. Varun and one other cleaner came to our property and did an amazing job. They were very professional and arrived on time. They had alot of great products to clean my property. There were some paint color marks on our bedroom walls which We tried to remove so many time but they never went but they managed to remove all of them. Washroom looked as new as they were never used. Oven looked like new. We have got our full bond refund. I would strongley recommend austral cleaning company especially varun."
"I had a great experience with Austral Cleaning, despite what other reviews may suggest. I booked a bond clean on a 1BD Unit (no carpet cleaning). The cleaners were 10 minutes late due to peak hour traffic although I was notified by text in advance. They were very polite and met all of my requests. I received a text and a phone call once they were done (earlier than expected). I wasn't home to see them off however they locked everything up and turned off all lights/fans before exiting which I appreciated. The place was beautifully clean, not a fingerprint or spec of dust in sight. Walls had been wiped down and sliding door tracks were spotless. I made a mental note of marks in hidden/hard-to-reach places but when I checked after the clean they were gone. Very satisfied with their service.
