At Scribbly Gum Park, you have the opportunity to see native animals up close and personal, providing a rare chance to connect with Australia's diverse wildlife. Additionally, you can enjoy a guided roost tour, where you can witness the mesmerizing sight of bats returning to their roosts at dusk. It's a truly unforgettable experience that allows you to appreciate the natural wonders of this beautiful country.

If you're worried about transportation, rest assured that the council is actively working on improving the transit route around Sugar Road and Maud Street, which can be heavily congested during peak hours. This improvement project aims to enhance accessibility for vehicles, buses, walkers, and cyclists, making it easier for everyone to reach Scribbly Gum Park.
In addition to the park's attractions, there are numerous events and programs happening in the area. For instance, the Horizon Festival promises 10 arts-filled days from August 25 to September 3 at Cotton Tree Park. It's an opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant arts scene of the Sunshine Coast.
If you're interested in making a positive impact on the environment, Scribbly Gum Park offers a workshop with Michele Lipner from OzHarvest. She will guide you on how to reduce your carbon footprint and save money at the same time. It's a chance to learn practical strategies for sustainable living.
Furthermore, the park provides educational sessions on defending the region from invasive species. This initiative highlights the importance of preserving the local ecosystem and encourages visitors to actively participate in protecting the environment.
Scribbly Gum Park is also involved in community development through Council's Community Grants Program. This program supports not-for-profit organizations in delivering projects, events, and activities that address community needs and provide community benefits. By supporting this program, you contribute to the betterment of the local community.
For music enthusiasts, Scribbly Gum Park hosts a three-day music festival with six stages, offering an eclectic mix of live performances by the beach. It's an opportunity to enjoy the vibrant music scene and soak up the coastal atmosphere.
If you're interested in history and heritage, you can volunteer at Bankfoot House or Landsborough Museum, becoming part of the heritage family and contributing to the preservation and promotion of the region's rich history.
Finally, don't miss the chance to welcome the Shorebirds back to the Sunshine Coast. Secure your tickets now for an unforgettable experience.
In addition to all these exciting offerings, the Sunshine Coast is undergoing a recycling revolution with the construction of a state-of-the-art $40.5 million material recycling facility. This facility will play a crucial role in sorting and processing recyclable materials, contributing to a more sustainable future for the region.
We are also thrilled to share a heartwarming story of a happy reunion facilitated by pet registration. We understand the importance of pet safety and strive to create a community where pets and their owners can enjoy a secure and loving environment.

"Bring a mozzie repellent but apart from that it was nice play ground"
"Great park, well maintained, very nice tables and BBQ area, kids would love it. Shame there isn't a path all the way around."
"I biked there with my daughter and nice, it was full of mosquitos and it has bbqs but no toilets and rubbish bins were overflowing with stinky trash. Not even 3 minutes there girls asked to go home. Very disappointed"
"Very nice, new park. Shelter shed and water fountains there. Range of playground equipment for all ages. Large grassy area for games like cricket. No toilets."
"Unsure of how many stars to give this park, Heard so much about it only to be disappointed when we took our three grandchildren today 25/9/17. So we have given it one star because of the LACK OF ANY SHADE over the equipment. While the equipment and play zones was quite interactive for their ages and could have held their attention longer, it was the LACK OF SHADE that forced us and quite a few others from the park after a very short time. In our climate shade over play equipment is a must for children. Wont be returning unless shade is erected over equipment and seating and not just over the bbq areas and tables."
