One of the highlights of our calendar is our Annual Gem Show, held on the last Saturday in August each year. From 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, the Hemmant Community Hall on Hemmant-Tingalpa Rd will be transformed into a treasure trove of precious and semi-precious gemstones. Traders and tailgaters will be showcasing opals, crystals, fossils, minerals, and a wide range of jewelry, beads, and findings. Additionally, we will have lapidary supplies, tools, equipment, and handicraft available for purchase.

But that's not all! Our talented club members will also be displaying their handmade jewelry, cabochons, and collections, showcasing their incredible skills and creativity. And while you're perusing the show, don't forget to stop by our club table, where you'll find homemade jams, pickles, and delicious cakes. If you need a break, our Soft Rock Cafe offers refreshments to keep you energized throughout the day.

Make sure to buy a ticket for our raffle, where you could win a beautiful piece of jewelry crafted by our skilled members. With something for everyone - all tastes, all ages, all budgets - our Gem Show promises to be a memorable event. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for students and pensioners, and children under 12 get in for free.
