"Great local park, recently upgraded kids playground equipment and a new BBQ. Loads of open spaces too"
"It's got a good variety of playground equipment, a little different from the same old that you get at other parks. A good variety of trees for playing in, and lots of grass for running around."
"It's a nice park. Plenty of shade and trees, good size of oval, parking, some seating, good playground equipment, one small wood fueled bqq (so will need matches), no toilets not close to any shops and only one undercover sitting area."
"Great park for multiple users, nice younger kids playground surrounded by a concrete path for kids to skoot or ride around. Big field space to play a game of soccer football or just kick/throw a ball also a basketball court. This park has lots of awesome tree's to climb or for playing nerf wars etc. BBQ facilities but No 5 star rating because no toilet facilities, this park really needs toilets especially since it caters for such a versatile age range, so many trips cut short due to needing to leave early to get to bathrooms. #climbingtrees#basketball"
"A quiet "local knowledge" suburban park which is very popular for family picnics, children's birthday parties and home to a colourful variety of resident birdlife. The basketball court is well used by older teens, and the children's playground suits the younger ones. There are a number of large established older trees, which provide plenty of shade, it also means the summer time heat is not as intense. There is a small bbq but it's the old fashioned wood burning variety, perhaps the Council will upgrade it one day to a modern gas one? There is plenty of parking, the Norman Park Bowls Club is just across the road, with two local cafes within easy walking distance, Dovetail on Overend and Brisbean Coffee just around the corner at the intersection of Norman Ave and Wynnum Rd. So you could grab a bite and something to drink whilst you are in the neighbourhood."
