"This is the message I sent to Prouds via customer service feedback through the website. Currently I am giving 2 stars as the initial service I received from staff was very polite and curious but minus 3 stars because the after sales service in this instance I though was poor. I will update this review as further correspondence is received. Hello, today I walked into Prouds Cannon Hill as an impulse buy because I saw a pendant in the window which I thought looked nice. When I came in I explicitly told the sales assistant (who was lovely in their initial greeting and service) that I wanted to buy an anklet. I pointed out the pendant in the window, she advised that it was on a chain and not an anklet. I told her I'll still buy the pendant and chain and I'll buy a plain anklet that I could put the pendant on as both the pendant and anklet chain were very cheap. When I got home it turns out that the pendant is unable to be taken off the chain because the loop is so small, furthermore even if I snapped the chain and took the pendant off I couldn't put it on the anklet I was sold, again because the loop is so small. I took the items back to the store within the hour and explained the situation to the manager (who was not empathetic at all, not rude but not polite by any means) that this was not a change of mind but the items were not fit for the purpose I explicitly told the sales assistant I wanted them for and that I would like a refund. She explained that store policy is exchange or voucher only, I explained again that I would understand that if it was a change of mind, but I was sold something which wasn't fit for the purpose I explicitly told the sales assistant I wanted it for. The manager continued that she would be in "big trouble from cooperate" if she provided a refund in this instance, which I believe would be a basic level of customer service. The items were very cheap and the money is not the issue, this is an issue of customer service. When management make claims they will be in big trouble to give a very small refund when they've sold something by provided incorrect information it sounds like Prouds bully their staff into not providing basic levels of customer service, which i'm sure wouldn't be the case. I though i'd highlight this instance were the total value of the products purchased was only $22.50, sold to me with incorrect advice and give the opportunity to head office to assess this case and provide the refund I requested and not the gift card I was given instead."

"The manager here is a smug little @&$t! I purchased a watch on the 5th of July, returned on the 19th as an out of box failure and asked for a refund. The goods were faulty & under the consumer guarantee act is returnable for refund, what I was told was she would do me a favour and, just this one time would give me a store credit."

"Got told on the phone that I can get a ring resized 3 sizes when I can when prouds bribie said it’s fine it can be resized but prouds cannon hill says it would have to be a special order with $300 to take diamonds out and then put them in again for $300 and put more gold in to the ring to make it bigger by 3 sizes that’s funny money gouging making excuses for covid 19 they told me it would be more then 6 months to do That prouds bribe told me they only have to resize is fine so try to get that don’t know what your talking about if we all start being greedy it’s going to be a mad world again so the virus is a good excuse for not working"
