"Moved to the area & went for a walk. Called my partner to pick me up which he refused (with good intentions of much needed exercise). Found this beautiful reserve on my return. Situated on a hill with amazing views of the city on one side and the bay on the other... and I believe I could also see glass house mountains too. Lots of benches & BBQ and plenty playgrounds and open space. Clean toilets and soap @ the sink."
"I regularly use the dog park which is easily the best in the area. Large size, shady trees, basic dog agility equipment. Bear in mind that dog parks are unsafe areas so take sensible precautions and assume all dogs will be untrained and quite possibly reactive; stop and check out the behaviour of dogs in the park before you enter, if unsure ask the owner (if they can be identified). Chill out and accept the fact that none of the dogs in the park will have a decent recall and that you will be jumped on, slobbered over and probably have some animal run off with your ball. Take insect repellant and sunscreen."
"Huge open field, no sporting infrastructure so bring your own. Excellent dog park that hosts areas for large and small dogs separately. It does have its own little car park but can be accessed via other streets which always have parking spaces. Plenty of kids play equipment on one side of the reservoir which hosts covered benches and BBQs and a toilet block (M/F and disabled with baby changing table). The dog park and open field is located on the opposite side. Negatives- sometimes the grass gets really long and by memory the car park closes around 7pm."
"As it's situated up on a hill you get some views down to the bay and also the inner city with rolling hills in the other direction. Has great dog park and lots of playgrounds and Bbq areas. Good walking and bike trails."
"A beautiful place with a great view. Feels like a secret park, tucked away. BBQs and seating right next to the play area. Amenities next to the carpark. Lots of shade and trees around the play park. A path leads to an open grassy area opposite 2 dog parks - one for smaller dogs and one for larger ones (though smaller dogs could go into the large one if they're up for it!) An agility course is available."
