About the Business
Welcome to Frew Park, a stunning 3.5-hectare inner city parkland located in Milton, Brisbane. Formerly the site of the Milton Tennis Centre and Milton Bowl, Frew Park has been rejuvenated by the Brisbane City Council to create a magnificent recreational space for locals and tourists alike.
Completed in 2014, Frew Park offers a range of facilities and attractions to cater to all interests. The centerpiece of the park is the Roy Emerson Tennis Centre, named after one of Brisbane's tennis legends. This state-of-the-art facility boasts six tennis courts, a rebound court, amenities, and comfortable seating. Tennis Gear Australia administers the centre, making it the perfect place for tennis enthusiasts to practice their skills or enjoy a friendly match. With a food and beverage outlet on-site, visitors can refuel and relax after an energetic game.
For younger visitors, The Arena play space is a must-visit area. Designed for children and young people aged 10-15, this innovative playground combines architectural and play components to create an exciting and engaging environment. The play areas for younger children are thoughtfully incorporated into the ground level of The Arena, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the fun. Accessibility features are also provided to ensure that people of all abilities can fully participate in the play experience.
Frew Park also pays tribute to Brisbane's sporting heroes. The large open space within the park has been named Wendy Turnbull Green in honor of Wendy Turnbull, a renowned tennis player and Queensland Sporting Hall of Fame inductee. Born and raised in Brisbane, Wendy was affectionately known as 'Rabbit' due to her incredible court speed. Her success on the Women's Tennis Association Tour as both a singles and doubles player is celebrated in this beautiful green space.
To make your visit to Frew Park even more convenient, a designated booking site is located off Frew Street. Whether you're planning a family picnic, a friendly game of tennis, or simply want to enjoy the serene surroundings, Frew Park offers something for everyone.
We would also like to acknowledge and pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians of this land. Brisbane City Council recognizes the importance of their cultural heritage and their ongoing connection to the land.

Reviews
"Awesome afternoon out. Park that really caters for all ages. Great amenities and plenty of BBQ facilities."
"Nice park for kids at all ages. The variety of facilities caters for everyone. The only downside is car parking is quite limited."
"Great park! Not a lot of parking and could fill up super quickly. Also, I imagine it would get very hot due to the concrete. There's a smaller area for smaller kids but there are sections my 4 year old struggled with. Tables, shade, BBQ spots and toilets all on site."
