"Bought this triton wedding ring in 2016 and it broke.. the warranty is for 12 months and it’s not international. I’ve been served by Natalia 15028. - She said the ring it’s indestructible - This is not the first time a pice of jewellery from Michael Hill broke down and they can’t repair or replace., Cuatomer service are nice but still can help. The quality it’s below average and the after care service is even worse. Not recommended."

"I am devastated. My husband upgraded my engagement ring to a beautiful one carat diamond halo engagement ring from MH after the birth of my second child in 2018. We chose the ring together and had sentimentality due to the timing. Since having this ring I have worn sparingly and now only on ‘special occasions’ and have reverted back to my original engagement ring (purchased 10+ years ago from Zamels with no faults or reparation) because the MH ring has had such a plethora of issues I am now too scared to wear it. 2018 it was taken back 2 months after getting it as I started to notice one of the claws was moving, they reset it and told me there wouldn’t be any more issues with that claw. (North lakes) 2019 returned to store brought up the same issues again and it was reset again. (North lakes?) 2020 resized and rhodium plated. (Chermside) 2021 the centre diamond was ‘spinning’ as the claws were loose again. And it was reset. (Chermside) 2022 diamond was lost (thankfully at home) due to loose claws again, and MH tried to say that I had pried open claws and removed the diamond. After a lot of back and forth as I had vacuumed and found the missing diamond it was reset again. (Chermside) 2023 I wore the ring about a handful of times since the loss of the diamond in 2022, when I noticed AGAIN the claws were loosened and the diamond was spinning and wriggling in the setting. (North lakes) None of these repairs were documented by MH in my diamond care warranty so they also argued when I needed the diamond replaced that I hadn’t followed the upkeep of bringing it in to be inspected, and I would have to pay over 3k to replace the diamond. Yet they’d had it 5 times in head office being inspected and repaired?? I am now dealing with the North Lakes store which was where we originally purchased from and they have told me that the claws need to be retipped as I’ve worn them down. I haven’t worn the ring more than 6 times in a year since the previous repair so to me, that isn’t a valid reason. They also mentioned I should be charged for this repair but they will ‘wear it’ due to the history of the ring. I will be seeking further advice from Fair Trading surrounding my consumer guarantees because this ring is not fit for purpose as I cannot wear it without claws breaking. Michael Hill is a disappointment. I feel this ring has always been faulty there is just no other explanation because I would hate to think this is the ‘norm’ in the industry as that’s what MH have told me."

"I got engaged ring in Michael Hill chemside few months ago and happy for products and services. Few months later I went back for resize and polish, I was surprised of customer service. The lady who was wearing glasses she threw ring box away into out bag and put out rings not gently on the spot. I was really surprised she handle our purchase product just not delicately at all. Also my name, email were all wrong on the paper. I am really happy for products but I was bit disappointed customer service ."

"My partner and I went to Michael Hill Strathpine in Brisbane to purchase our wedding bands. We bought the rings with the resizing plan and sent them for adjustment. They guarantee that they will be finished in two weeks time. But as the period of time passed, I began to worry because my wedding was approaching. After calling them on various days in a row with the number of days count until the big event, they responded that they were having issues with their new ring resizing business. To cut a long story short, they delivered the rings one day before the big day. Not to mention, they weren't truly correctly resized. However, we had to take them because we didn't have enough time to send them back. After this incident, I made the decision to return my ring, but this time to a different store, Chemside in Brisbane. I've been let down once again. I contacted them after a month passed without receiving my item, and they said there were issues with the resizing provider. once more. Doesn’t rings re-sizing supposed to take at the most two hours? Is it a month re-sizing the best Michael Hill can do? My previous experiences with jewelry shops were far better than this with Michael Hill. Terrible service- Not happy at all."
