"My phone was damaged during repair. I paid to get the charger port replaced on my iPhone, this was done successfully within 2 hours, and is now working fine. However in that process the LED screen was damaged from the inside, so I have a thick dark permanent scratch on my screen. I mentioned it to the staff immediately upon collecting my phone, but because I wasn't able to prove that the damage wasn't there before the repair, they could not do anything. A few weeks later the screen damage got worst and spread across the whole screen, to the point I had to get the whole screen changed. It is unfortunate for me to pay full price for a charger port repair and pickup my phone with a permanent screen damage. I think rare mistakes do happen, but we should expect a more professional response. My recommendation would be to get them to check the phone before any repairs so they can certify there are no other damages (in other words, protect yourself from any potential damage during repairs). ** ALSO: THEY ASK FOR YOU PIN WHEN YOU GIVE THE PHONE IN. THEY DO NOT NEED YOU PIN. NEVER EVER GIVE YOUR PIN FOR A REPAIR! THIS IS A PRIVACY BREACH!** you shouldn’t trust repairers who ask for your pin."
