"I have been in this store multiple times since turning 18, I am now 21. As I walked in a young, male staff member asked me if I had my ID with me, I said yes and continued browsing the fridges. After making my selection in the cold room he had followed me from the cold room to the counter where he asked me for my ID. I of course showed him however he denied me service simply because I was wearing “Queensland school sport” representative shorts from high school. Despite my ID showing me to be 21 years old and a leg full off tattoos the simple shorts from high school was enough for him to say “you’re in school uniform so I can’t serve you” not to mention that to my belief year 12s are 18 anyway now days. Shame from my local bottle shop that I regularly shop at. Drove to Dan Murphy’s at Wynnum plaza instead."
