Our journey began with founder Simon Walkenhorst, whose passion for refinement stemmed from his background as a classical pianist, performing in concert halls. Together with his partner, Beth Williams, an opera singer and musician, their creative talents merged and found expression in the art of craft beer.

Established in 2004, Hargreaves Hill has overcome challenges, including the devastating Black Saturday fires that burnt down our brewery. Today, as a family-owned institution, we are proud to be recognized as pioneers in the Australian craft beer industry, known for our mastery of classic styles and our exceptional seasonal brews.
