"Always come here for the best produce and great prices. Also, the best place to source Stradbroke Island honey, as well as fresh mint, lemons and ginger for homemade lemonade. Love the prepacked veges and fruit bags for quick and easy purchase and value for money."
"Been coming to this store for around 12 months... thinking each time I've just caught staff on a bad day.. the last twice I have been will be the last times. Stood at the counter for a good 4 mins while 3 of them chatted. Next time a bag of apples were signed as $3.99 per bag. Get to checkout and she weighs the bag and charges 3.99 per kilo. I questioned her and she was adamant its per kg even though sign clearly said per bag. I questioned this as its happened before and items scanned twice. I won't be giving any more chances."
"Great produce however fraudulent by stating a price then adding 2-3 cents extra every purchase. When I questioned the cashier she said its different paying cash opposed to card then, she said oh no that was the previous amount......when I told her the previous amount she then said oh..... it's because we round it up..... I told her it doesn't work like that and walked out because I knew that she had been put up to it. At the end of the day it's not her fault because each staff member does this, if store owners choose to act un-Australian and sting the consumer shame on you!! Great way to tarnish your reputation Cleveland Discount Fruit Barn!!"
"Really (really) disappointed to see the old tricks of plastic wrapping fruit and vegetables in trays with the bruised, marked and old products on the bottom of the tray where we dumb customers can't see them! Bought 3 trays of Roma tomatoes and ALL the bottom ones were very poor quality! Same with two trays of strawberries, bottom fruit were all small, bruised, marked and had those big white cores in them! Back to Coles for me ...... I hate being ripped off with deceptive packaging! Additionally on their Facebook page, ALL messages are ignored and ALL posts are automatically deleted so don't bother trying to contact them! Generally good quality fruit, getting very similar prices to adjacent Coles unfortunately and deceptive marketing!"
