"Decent quality and a great range, but if you want to appeal to hobby market or those trying to upskill in their own time then you are going to have to open at real hours: all day Saturday, late night Thursday. It's been once every 3-6 months I can get to you (from the Gold Coast) and each time I can only get there about 1 hour before you close on a Saturday. So many of my purchases have gone to other online suppliers just because of your hours."

"I recently returned a Drill Press (DB-360, RRP $572) for repairs to its work light – the screw bulb had blown, and I’d unscrewed the bulb holder trying to replace the bulb. Came back without the light functioning; it’d been disconnected, to make the loose live wires inside the machine safe. Not overly happy with that, but more so the lack of communication about losing the light without any feedback while the machine was in for repair – I’d expected the light to be repaired, not disconnected. Long story short, and without any grief for me, Hare & Forbes came to the party, and supplied an after-market accessory light which more than illuminates the work in lieu of the drill press light being fixed. I’ve purchased some small machinery - drill press, metal band saw, grinder, tool stands - and other bits and pieces from H&F and always been happy with them (quality and cost). It’s also great to know they service the equipment they sell, AND do all they can to make sure the customer is satisfied with their work. I don’t bother looking elsewhere now – quality, price AND service is a priority at Hare & Forbes/Machinery Warehouse."

"Awesome to have a place to view really high quality tools you can buy. Actually quite reasonably priced for that type of industry. They don't really have much in the way of sales service.. but as soon as you're ready to buy something they spring into action and sort you out. Even received a discount due to sale that wasn't at all advertised. I do think they would sell more if there was more of a retail service presence."
