"If you are not a seasoned renovator, I urge you to please do your homework before buying anything from this shop. My husband and I are not new to this, and we had a vision as to how we would like our bathroom to be renovated. I had to practically beat the ladies working here off with a stick to get the tiles I was looking for. The main reason why we purchased from them was because they had a white tile with a design that fit us well. It was the most expensive of the tiles we bought, the white tiles alone costed us $980. Imagine my surprise when they arrived in a Made in China box. Feel pretty ripped off that one. On top of that, the lady who calculated the number of boxes committed a large blunder when calculating our tiles, and when the day came for our reno to start, the tiler tells us we are short by three boxes. When my husband called up the shop the lady told him that we will need to pay a further $470 to get the tiles, no apology even then. In our renovations of the past we usually do our own calculations and we’ve always ended up with surplus of tiles, this is the first time we ended up in a deficit. We now have to figure out the best way to complete the job, although we can afford to buy more tiles to fix the problem, I would rather take the extra steps to find a solution than give these people my business, like another reviewer said, we do not wish to deal with them further based on principles. I’ve always had good experiences supporting local shops over the 7 years we’ve been here, but never again Traditional Tiles!!!"

"DO NOT RELY ON THE LADIES IN THIS SHOP TO DO ANY KIND OF MATH!!! The ladies working here are a prime example of elderly people who work past their prime and cause distress to others. They also need to attend classes on Accounts 101 and Computers for Dummies. They lost my invoice and luckily I had a copy with me to show that I had paid. Even then, they couldn't find it. They claim to give consultation on your choice of tiles, but the service isn't really that great, the worst part of it was the old ladies were talking over me so much that I didn't notice how badly they were calculating the tiles I needed, to complete my bathroom renovation. I planned everything ahead, got the tilers to come in, and they had started the job only to tell me that I was short by three boxes, I called up the shop only to be told by one of the ladies that I had to pay $470 to get the tiles. I didn't even get a apology from her for her miscalculation. The tiler found a solution for me but it's given me extra work that I was not anticipating. I now have to find a way to seal up my walls to cover the area that should been tiled. Please consider retiring your sales force."

"Worst Salesmanship Award (Not that the older lady with glasses and shortish grey hair ever got us a price) but even if she had eventually gotten us a great price, no sale at this shop. As my husband and I walked out of the store, we simultaneously said ‘won’t by there on principle’). The woman was condescending, argumentative and would not even provide a ballpark figure as basis for comparison. Also, had none of the tiles marked and spent more time arguing with me about if two tiles were the same or different and the basic of tile structure, of which my husband and I are well aware. If you want to support local, see Nick at Beaumont Tiles around the corner. We went there directly after. Incredible service, kindness, knowledge, recommending best tiler, gave a great price and has sent us home with a full tile to test tonight. Now that’s service."

The time they take to assist you in putting together design options was so helpful, especially for my wife and I as we were having difficulty working out what we liked and stalled on making decisions. Overall, great service, we thoroughly recommend them."

"I went to this company to "shop locally" What a mistake. They talked m out of the high gloss porcelain tiles i wanted and sold me some easy care product. As soon as they were laid i knew I had made a mistake. They soaked up every mark and stain which refused to budge despite my wife best efforts at cleaning. I returned to the store to ask about sealing them and was told they were fine and didn't need sealing. After complaining again, a man from the wholesaler came to my home and spent twenty minutes with a bucket of cleaning products on ONE tile and said "There you are - that's all you need to do." We have laid 75 square metres at 20 minutes per tile to clean each week.. Every time I went back (3 times) after that the Manageress was never available. In desperation I sent a registered letter seeking a response. No reply at all! Finally, we have just this week decided to have the tiles restored and sealed as I wanted to do three years ago. The result is amazing - no thanks to this company. We now have the floor we wanted -no thanks to the team at Traditional tiles and at an additional cost of $!600. Do not use this company!"
