"If we could put a zero star rating we would. We have spent thousands of dollars with Sydney Tools over the years but will never purchase from them again after our most recent sale. Placed an order online in January, received partial of that delivery in a timely manner. Followed up with online & store numerous times for missing items, no-one got back to us. Parts were missing from some items, some boxes were already opened and when we tried to return items that could not be used we were told no as it was past the 14 days. We have escalated the issue to the Office of Fair Trading who are dealing with our enquiry. We are owed a refund of over $3000 and Sydney Tools are offering only $777. Communication between instore staff is woeful and so is their customer service. We were told by about 3 different staff members that no one knew anything about the missing items. Will never shop with Sydney Tools again."
"For the size of this place, they never have the tools I need. I was after a 16mm ring spanner with deep/long neck, and they had nothing. A lot of overpriced kits and tools, but never what you need. It’s a disappointment this place."
"As per many other reviews, customer service here is atrocious. Was told when buying that we could return an item once my father who lives on a property 3 hours away had a chance to view noting this was also in the middle of COVID with border travel restrictions. When we went to exchange the item, a strict 14 day returns policy statement was thrown in our face. After escalating with head office was eventually offered an exchange and when letting the store manager know we wouldn’t be spending another cent at their stores the response we got was ‘nothing would make us happier’. Every product is available at many other local businesses which offer supreme customer service."
"Before you go to Bunnings or anywhere else, make sure you stop in at Sydney Tools Stafford - these guys are amazing, have the best range and only the highest quality brands. But what sets them apart is staff who know the industry and are from the industry. They go above and beyond to bundle packages based on the job or project or budget you are working on and cut deals that ensure you will be back. I know I will be. Thanks guys!"
