Welcome to Boorndawan Willam Aboriginal Healing Centre, located in Lilydale, Australia. As a leading specialist Aboriginal Specific family violence service, we are dedicated to providing support and healing to individuals and families in the Eastern Metropolitan Region, including the Inner and Outer East.

Established in 2006 following the recommendations of the Victorian Eastern Family Violence Strategy Taskforce Report, our centre has recently transitioned to being an independent Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation. This allows us to provide a range of services and programs to Aboriginal individuals and families who are experiencing, at risk of experiencing, or using family violence.

At Boorndawan Willam Aboriginal Healing Centre, we pride ourselves on our excellent record of providing high-quality family violence and trauma-informed intensive case management. We also offer integrated family service responses and evidence-based therapeutic programs for a whole family approach. Our goal is to support and protect victims of family violence while promoting recovery and healing for individuals, families, and communities.

We strongly believe in the ideals and philosophy of the Victorian Indigenous Family Violence Task Force Report. This report emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach in a cultural and spiritual environment, integrating Aboriginal teachings into individual services and interventions. With specialized services for women, children, and men, as well as guidance for perpetrators, we strive to create a safe and supportive environment for all.
