About the Business
Welcome to The Pet Care Centre, a premium boarding kennel and cattery located in the beautiful Meridan Plains on the Sunshine Coast of Australia. As an establishment of interest, we are dedicated to providing high-quality accommodation for your furry friends so they can enjoy a happy vacation while you're away.
At The Pet Care Centre, we cater to cats, dogs, and small animals, ensuring that all pets are welcome to board with us. Our dedicated staff members go above and beyond to provide your companions with the attention and care they deserve, making their stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
We understand that some pets may have special dietary requirements or need medication during their stay. Rest assured, we take pride in accommodating these needs at a minimal cost. You are also welcome to bring your pet's special bedding and toys, although we cannot guarantee they will be returned in the same condition. However, your furry friend will have them with them in their kennel, providing them with a sense of familiarity and comfort.
For the safety and well-being of all pets in our care, we require dogs to have a current C5 vaccination and be up to date with flea and tick protection. Cats must also have a current F3 vaccination and be protected against fleas and ticks. These measures ensure a healthy and safe environment for all our guests.
We invite you to visit our boarding kennel and cattery facilities for a full inspection. Our doors are open between 3pm and 5pm on all working days, except for Saturdays and public holidays when we are closed to the public. Seeing our facilities firsthand will give you peace of mind and confidence in our commitment to providing the best care for your beloved pets.
Please note that we do not currently offer a pick-up service, so arrangements will need to be made for collecting your pet at the end of their stay.
At The Pet Care Centre, we accept male dogs that are not de-sexed at all times. However, we do not accept female dogs that are not de-sexed when they are in season. This policy is in place to prevent any disturbances or potential issues that may arise during this time. For all other times, entire female dogs are welcome.
If you anticipate a delay in picking up your pet, please notify us as soon as possible via email or Facebook message. We will ensure your pet remains secure and comfortable until you are able to collect them. Any fees resulting from an extension of boarding will need to be settled in full upon check-out, and we appreciate your understanding in this matter.
We understand that circumstances may change, and you may need to cancel your booking. In low season, you can cancel at any time with no penalty by phone or email. However, during peak times such as Easter and Christmas periods, the deposit is non-refundable.
To ensure the safety of all our guests, we have a policy of refusal for all human aggressive and declared dangerous pets. This policy helps maintain a peaceful and harmonious environment for everyone.
Please note that we do not accept direct debit or American Express payments. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Our opening hours are as follows:
- Monday to Friday: 8am – 10am & 3pm – 5pm
- Saturday: 8am – 10am
- Sunday: 3pm – 5pm
Thank you for considering The Pet Care Centre for your pet's boarding needs. We look forward to providing a safe and enjoyable vacation for your furry friends.

Reviews
"Really great service and our pup seemed to love being there. He seemed quite content when we picked him up which was nice as we were expecting him to be really energetic/clingy."
"Well laid out and a large area of kennel accommodation, priced in a few tiers to cater for a variety of animal sizes, requirements and temperaments. After a week, the staff knew the dogs names, habits and oddities. Highly recommended"
"Our two large boisterous pups had a doggy day care day while we went to Australia Zoo recently. We're fairly sure they enjoyed their stay as they practically pulled us inside two days later when we needed their services again! The staff were absolutely wonderful, and the facilities and services looked amazing. We'd recommend them for anyone who loves their pets and is in need of somewhere for them to be safe, happy and well cared for the day."
"Fantastic Centre which we would definitely recommend. We have 2 dogs, Ruby and Sasha who have stayed at the Pet Care Centre a couple of times and we have always been happy with their care. Our Bull Terrier can be quite an anxious dog at times and they both do not socialise with other dogs outside our home environment but the Pet Care Centre always accommodates our needs, leaving us less anxious when they are dropped off. Thanks so much for the Fantastic care of our fur babies and look forward to visiting again. Susie, Brian, Ruby & Sasha"
