Welcome to Story Psychology, a psychological practice located in Lower Plenty, Australia. At Story Psychology, our goal is to help you share and understand your unique story.

Founded by Briony Kercheval, a Melbourne-based psychologist, Story Psychology offers a range of services to support your mental health and well-being. With extensive experience in both private and public health systems, as well as community-based settings, Briony is dedicated to improving mental health outcomes for individuals and families.

One area of focus for Briony is women's health, particularly issues related to pregnancy and birth. She is skilled in addressing perinatal depression and anxiety, birth debriefing and trauma, and the challenges of parenting. Briony also works with individuals diagnosed with anxiety, depression, and experiences of trauma. Additionally, she has expertise in working with individuals who are gender diverse and neurodiverse, including those who are Autistic and have ADHD, as well as their families, schools, and wider support networks.

At Story Psychology, Briony takes an affirming, client-centered, and collaborative approach to therapy. She works closely with her clients to help them maximize their opportunities for living rich and meaningful lives.

You can find us in Eltham, approximately 20km from Melbourne's CBD. Ample parking is available in the streets surrounding our office, and Eltham Train Station is conveniently located across the road. To locate our office, simply follow the stairs above the Missing Gorilla restaurant. Signs at the foot of the staircase will direct you to Eltham Counselling and Consulting Rooms and Black Mat Yoga.
