About the Business
Welcome to the Australasian College of Cutaneous Oncology, located at Docklands, Caravel Lane, 5 in Australia. As an establishment, point of interest, and university, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive training and education in the management of skin cancer.
At ACCO, we offer a range of workshops and programs designed to enhance your knowledge and skills in the field. Our upcoming events include the combined Essentials/Dermoscopy workshop in Melbourne Docklands from February 17 to February 19, 2023, and the combined Essentials/Dermoscopy workshop in Perth from June 3 to June 5, 2023. Additionally, we have a workshop program scheduled for September to October 2023 and another combined Essentials/Dermoscopy workshop in April 2024. For those interested in more specialized training, we also offer a 4-day Flap and Graft workshop with 3 online modules in June 2024.
What sets ACCO apart is our commitment to providing an unbiased learning environment. We have a strict policy that prohibits any pharmaceutical company from sponsoring or endorsing our events, functions, or workshops. This ensures that our training is truly independent and focused solely on improving your competency in skin cancer management.
In addition to our workshops, ACCO also offers practical and theory-based training through our College of Cutaneous Oncology. Whether you are a healthcare professional looking to enhance your skills or a student seeking certification, our courses will provide you with the knowledge and expertise needed to effectively manage skin cancer.
We are proud to announce that we are eligible for grants through the Rural Workforce Agency Victoria (RWAV) for those who qualify. This opportunity allows individuals from rural areas to attend our workshops and further their education in skin cancer management.
Furthermore, we would like to address a recent issue regarding the Australian Journal of General Practice. Unfortunately, ACCO's detailed update manuscripts on melanoma management, published in 2019, were wrongly removed from the journal. Rest assured, we continue to provide the latest advancements and research in the field through our workshops and programs.
Lastly, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we understand that you may have concerns about altering your skin cancer management practices. We assure you that we prioritize the safety and well-being of our attendees and have implemented necessary precautions to ensure a safe learning environment.
Meet Sam, one of our experienced instructors, whose background is in skin cancer nursing. With her expertise in a range of tumor types and common management choices, as well as her knowledge in dressings following skin surgery and post-operative care, Sam brings valuable insights to our training programs.
Join us at the Australasian College of Cutaneous Oncology and embark on a journey to enhance your skills and improve your competency in the management of skin cancer. With our unbiased learning environment and comprehensive training, you'll be equipped to make a difference in the field.
